Som anbefalet af The Daily Telegraph; Tag en magisk tur til den lyciske civilisation for mange år siden i Tlos, som er kendt med den mytologiske figur af den flyvende hest Pegasus. Vi vil have vores frokost i en restaurant, der afregnes blandt træerne og flyder koldt vand. Senere besøger Saklikent med den største kløft i denne region, hvor du kan hoppe ind i det frodige bjergvand, hvis du ønsker det. Gården op ad slugten anbefales stærkt, eller du kan slappe af og vente på de specielle træpedaler, der er nedsænket i vandet i den skjulte kløft. En fredelig afslappende dag ud.

Vi henter dig fra dit hotel med bus mellem 08:15-09:00 om morgenen, og vores tur begynder.
Udsigten over Saklıkent Canyon, det første stop på vores tur, vil fascinere dig. Ord er ikke nok til at beskrive dette ekstraordinære naturfænomen; Saklıkent formår at forbløffe selv dem, der har besøgt dette sted før. Den 13 kilometer lange Saklıkent Canyon, som blev dannet af snesmeltning på Akdağs toppe og kraftig nedbør i tusinder af år, er faktisk en relativt ung geologisk formation. Efter Saklıkent Canyon-delen af vores tur, efter en kort biltur, tager vi til Yaka Village (Yakapark) for at spise frokost på restauranten på ørredfarmen. Lyden af iskoldt vand, der flyder under trærødder og sten, og den kølige atmosfære på dette sted vil tage dig væk fra alle stress og problemer i det moderne liv. Efter vores frokostpause tog vi afsted mod Tlos med vores køretøjer.
Det er ikke svært at støde på noget ekstraordinært ved hvert trin i den gamle Lykien-region, som har de rigeste historiske, arkæologiske og naturressourcer i det sydvestlige Tyrkiet. På de sydlige foden af Akdağ (også kendt som Masisitus), er der Tlos, en af de bedst bevarede antikke bosættelser til dato. Ord er ikke nok til at beskrive ruinerne af Tlos, som moder natur omfavner med medfølelse. Du vil høre Pegasus og Chimera kæmpe på slotsbakken (Akropolis), lære, hvordan de gamle romere blev helbredt på det romerske badehospital, mærke atmosfæren fra de olympiske lege og gladiatorlege på stadion, få adgang til hemmelighederne bag græsk dramakunst i teatret, og se mennesker blandt mange forskellige grave på den gamle kirkegård (Necropolis). Du vil forstå tankerne bag ønsket om at nå uendeligheden.
I slutningen af vores tur ankommer vi til vores hotel omkring 17:00-18:00.

Mehmit tour guide was absolutly splended funny and full of great historical information. He even walked barefoot down the mountain as a ladies flip flop broke and he gave her his trainers! Our driver was also great! Please do go and visit here try book with this tour guide! The Saklikent Gorge was amazing def do this and if you are careful it ia pretty safe to take your fone but be aware you could slip in the water, wish I took mine. Next time a water saftey bag might be in my to pack list. The ladies making our pancake bread were friendly and hardworking! Lush day! Please tip where possible they all make such a nice day out for you.

The description did not share the needing of a swimsuit. Also the details for the day were reversed making 1 activity almost cancelled. Overall disappointment

We are also truly sorry for the change in the itinerary. The 9-day holiday in Turkey caused extreme crowding at the sites, forcing our guide to rearrange the schedule so you could still experience the activities. The only reason this didn’t get a 5 was lunch - fish was so overcooked only half of it came off the bone. Anyway - the trip was brilliant. Jesus the guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The trip was in a different order to the itinerary and was better for it. It meant we visited Tlos first (amazing) and then Saklikent in the afternoon - much better for those of us doing the rafting (only 500tl to get a large raft ring and paddle/spin down the river). Bring a towel and a change - there are changing rooms and stuff can be left on the bus. Also bring water shoes for the gorge walking - they can be bought there. Don’t wear sliders or crocs - they come off to easily and we saw several floating away! You can also do zip line for 500tl. All in all a highly recommended day out.

Very experienced guide and Tlos was great. Good local lunch could have missed Yakapark as was, in my opinion, not necessary

This was a good tour. Guide was excellent. Watch out for tic bites at Tlos as you are walking through long grass. I had to go to the hospital to get antibiotics to prevent Lyme disease.

First thing to say is do not book this tour through this page! Everyone else who booked direct paid €22 and Viator are charging more than double that which is unacceptable. The entrance fees are not included so I’m unsure what the added surplus is for, other than greed. The guide was lovely, so this review is purely on the logistics. Bus was way too hot on way back, no aircon, lunch was fine (nothing special!) but female toilets there unusable due to faeces all over the floor. Drinks not included, no activities included. It was a chilled and lovely day but I’ve walked away knowing we were totally ripped off. Don’t book this tour but definitely go to the places on it. Thank you to our guide.

Take surf shoes for walking down river into gorge (you can buy plastic ones there). The gorge is amazing 👏 You can walk most of it dry bed this time of year but first bit is a bit tricky walking down over the rocks into the river. Plenty of other things going on for extra, zipwire is a buzz or inflatable down river is great, but the walking is awesome 👌

Interesting visit to the ancient city but the highlight of the day was the walk along the gorge. Definitely needed wet shoes (which we had) and our tour guide insisted on us wearing hard hats too because of loose rocks. Loved walking through the water and scrambling up the rapids. We were left to walk at our own pace and the further upstream we got the less people there were. A unique experience that was worth the time travelling on the hot coach.

Very efficient tour with so much variety. At the gorge, we paid to go ‘rafting’ (it’s more ‘tubing with a paddle’ and it’s on the river after it leaves the gorge) which was great fun! Recommend it! The gorge is amazing. Take water shoes or walking sandals if you have them. Lunch was in a hillside local restaurant where they farm trout. Choose trout from the menu if you like fish at all. Lovely lunch no matter what you order. Tlos ruins are not spectacular compared to some but the history there is amazing. Not too hot in October either. Good value for money trip. Just remember to take cash for entrance fees (for rafting you can use a card/phone). Shout out to our guide Emre for incessant happiness! 😁
