Decently organized. They get you out of the city streets safely and up to the mountains. The tequila tasting was good and in a nice spot. Luckily the waterfall was running and we got to take a dip in it at the 2nd stop, where we had some great shrimp tacos. The RZR was in decent shape. Don’t expect to get too much of an offroad thrilling experience. About half of the trip is either paved or cobblestone and the dirt roads are pretty well maintained.

Unfortunately, I have to write this review after unsuccessfully getting a refund for the tequila scam. More than that, we are from Colorado but now live full-time in Puerto Vallarta. We took our son and my mom on this tour thinking it would be more "adventurous" than the last excursion we took with another outfit based on the website and pictures. We thought it was also cool to stop by a their tequila tasting. Long story short, it was pretty mild and the local/homegrown tequila was literally water - see pictures. They poured it on thick with the samples, supporting the locals, etc. and we usually are all for it but when the bottles literally froze we knew we were scammed. I asked for our money back only for the tequila (not the tour) with no success and had to decline the charge on my credit card. Living here we know how hard locals work but it is also important to also right a wrong which they did not do after giving them the opportunity. Also, if you comfortable with ATVs then I would pass on this guided tour. It's also to note that the river they're talking about is at the restaurant and not a separate stop.
Flavored tequilas are less potent.🤷 Especially cream flavors 🤷 If you want potent tequila we recommend buying non flavor and cream flavors 😁 We really appreciate and thank you for taking the time to write this honest and great review. This 3 hour tour is one of the best and leaves right from central downtown. Our guide, Angel, was attentive and very informative and took us to the best tequila distiller we have visited in 5+ years. We then went to Rancho Las Pilas for the best Ceviche in PV and the cool, clear waters of a beautiful waterfall. This ride is worth the $$$

Did this tour with my wife and we both were impressed by the competence of the staff. Travelling through the streets of PV on our way to the mountain roads staff was very good at being aware of urban traffic and our vehicles. To be fair the tour is all on roads not trails but it is interesting and enjoyable.

We just got back from the most thrilling RZR tour with Cool Rentals & Tours in Puerto Vallarta, and it was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we arrived, the team was super professional, friendly, and made sure everything was set up perfectly—safety briefing was clear, vehicles were in top shape, and the RZR was an absolute beast on the trails. Our guide, Gustavo, was phenomenal! He was knowledgeable, fun, super attentive to my wife and I. He knew all the best spots. He led us through stunning jungle paths, up into the Sierra Madre mountains with breathtaking views, across rivers, and to hidden gems we would’ve never found on our own. The ride was exhilarating—lots of mud, bumps, and pure adrenaline—but Gustavo kept everything safe, paced it perfectly, and added great stories about the local area along the way. The scenery was unreal: lush greenery, mountain panoramas, and that fresh air you can only get off the beaten path. We felt like real adventurers without any stress.
