Such a beautiful experience learning the history and past culture that took place in these colonies. Beautiful buildings, I was able to purchase merchandise at great pricing. Wendy is an amazing guide. Yucca was absolutely delicious.
My tour with EC Tours was a magnificent experience, filled with wonderful people, history, culture, and spectacular nature. The transportation was very well organized, which made everything more comfortable and enjoyable. I want to especially thank Gerson, my guide, for his professionalism, kindness, and support during the tours. I hope to see you all again when I return!
Driver and tour guide were really friendly and helpful. They patiently waited for all people in the group and graciously catered to request. Atacó and Juayua were nice towns!
Our tour guide Arely and driver Sandra were absolutely fantastic. They arrived right on time at our hotel and even opened the doors for us at every location (it’s the little things that make the experience more memorable). Sandra and Arely were both great conversationalists and kept us entertained the entire tour (8:15A-4:15P). At our request they joined us for lunch in the market and even played their favorite Spanish artists for us in the car. I wanted to try a traditional Sweet Bread and Sandra made an extra pit stop for us on the way back. Arely even gave us recommendations in El Tunco. If you do this tour you must ask for Arely and Sandra!! The stops were interesting, however do note that these towns now feel very touristy with markets filled with trinkets. However, the fruit and vegetables markets are amazing. Make sure to get the 10 for $1 mangos and 30¢ bag of horchata!
Good tour with Josep! This was a fun tour. We visited colonial towns and a coffee farm where we had lunch and tried coffee. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing the churches in the colonial towns and having some free time to walk around and shop.
This was a good tour! Josep was very friendly and knowledge. It was nice visiting the cities and coffee farm. The coffee farm is more of a restaurant/cafe where we tasted coffee, and we then did a little nature walk where we passed coffee plants. The colonial cities were cool to see and it was nice to be given some free time to explore and shop.
Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the towns nestled in the mountains of El Salvador. We felt like locals among markets, vendors, restaurants and more. Our tour guide introduced me to peanut horchata, my new favorite drink! Walk thru town square parks full of tropical plants and flowers. Learn some history, walk thru historical churches and enjoy some delicious local food. Love El Salvador coffee! Plenty of opportunity to buy souvenirs. Clean and cool van for your travel. Lots of Banos available that are clean, but you’ll need some change as most cost .25 cents. Your guides were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our day!!
We had a great group which ended at the brewery together to finish the day. Final village was my favourite
Jose Luis is a wonderfull guide, he all time is pending with the group, Have a nice history about each place he knows. We enjoy a pretty nice day, today. The driver was excelent too.
This was a total waste of money and of vacation time! Our "guide" was disengaged and had no knowledge or interest in sharing. I wish I knew her name but she didn't even introduce herself. We were picked up on time, driven to towns, told one blurp about 2 of them and pointed at cheap souvenirs shops ..while driving out of the 3rd town, we saw that it had more to it than the street we were shown..too late by then. The promised visit to a coffee plantation consisted of a restaurant with a land with some coffee plants. We were offered 2 types of coffee to try with no explanation and no history whatsoever! Although the restaurant was a nice place, the experience was horrible. and I shouldn't forget the reckless driver! I read so many good reviews but I guess it depends on the guide you get!
