Mit navn er Ludovic, jeg har boet i Rouen i 30 år, og jeg vil gerne invitere dig til at opdage Rouen og nogle af dens hemmeligheder. Beskrivelse af facaden og dens historie
Saint-Ouen de Rouen klosteret er et af de vigtigste monumenter i byen Rouen; dens klosterkirke er et perfekt eksempel på gotisk arkitektur i Normandiet. Klosteret er genstand for en klassificering som historiske monumenter af listen fra 1840
Aître Saint-Maclou er en tidligere massegrav fra det 16. århundrede, beliggende på 186, rue de Martainville i Rouen, Frankrig. Det er et af de sjældne eksempler på, at et ossuarium af denne type er tilbage i Europa. Aître Saint-Maclou er genstand for en klassificering som historiske monumenter af listen fra 1862
Gros-Horloge er et af de emblematiske monumenter i byen Rouen. Konstruktionen, der er knyttet til et klokketårn, består af en renæssancebue, der strækker sig over rue du Gros-Horloge, overgået af et astronomisk ur fra det 14. århundrede
Det var på denne plads, midt i Hundredårskrigen, at Jeanne d'Arc blev brændt levende den 30. maj 1431. Stedet, som Jeanne d'Arc så det, lignede ikke, hvad det er i dag. Pladsen var mindre, og dens plads blev optaget af Saint-Sauveur-kirken, Saint-Michel-kirken og af en stor markedshal. Det var også det sædvanlige sted for henrettelser. Der er rejst et stort kors på pælens plads. Midt på pladsen er resterne af den gamle Saint-Sauveur kirke blevet gravet frem. Det er i denne beskedne sognekirke, at Pierre Corneille blev døbt, hans fødested, rue de la Pie, nu omdannet til et museum i nærheden. I dag er det et livligt torv, omkring hvilket er restauranter og barer

This tour was so fun and interesting! Easily one of the best tour guides I ever had. We did a day trip from Paris and it was worth the extra 1.5 hour train ride!

We had a wonderful small-group walking tour of Rouen with Ludovic. His English was excellent, and he was joyful, enthusiastic, and so knowledgeable throughout the tour. He made the history of Rouen come alive while keeping everything fun and engaging. Ludovic made sure we had plenty of time to take photos at all the important spots, and he even offered to take pictures of us along the way. He asked questions, kept the group involved, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. This is the first thing everyone should do when they arrive in Rouen. It’s the perfect introduction to the city, and Ludovic was an outstanding guide!
This was a terrific guided walk of historical Rouen. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging and had some great stories ( and quizzes) along the way. It was a very small group, which gave opportunity for asking questions. Most enjoyable!
More than two hours of informative, varied walks punctuated by small anachronistic moments, revealing the city in unique and original aspects. Ludovic's personality and energy contribute greatly to this experience. We were a group of 6 young seniors, and the moment was unique. Kudos to Ludovic. We recommend the visit and the guide!

If you are spending a few days in Rouen, I recommend booking this tour early in your stay; the context and perspective you will gain will make the rest of your time in the city much more meaningful.
