Excellent day!! Would highly recommend!!!! Our guide Viviana and our driver were amazing . Viviana was a wealth of knowledge and made our day great! Barbara , our guide throughout Montepulciano was also very knowledgeable and lead our group through the streets with ease. I’d definitely give this tour a big thumbs up and 10 stars .
The experience overall was underwhelming. Our tour guide was harsh in her reaction at times, for example when we got to Pienza, she was very condescending and rude to some guests after misphrasing some instructions to the group about when to use the restrooms at the last stop. She seemed extremely irritable towards the end. Our tour guide in Montepulciano allowed a friend, the friend’s child, and her own child come along with us. The kids were obnoxious and distracting and almost tripped the paying members of the group. The picture stops seemed like all the same and time wasted. The wine tasting was not explained very well and the wine wasn’t that good, getting close to vinegar at this point. The meal was good, and the driver was very kind and drove nicely. Due to the general nature of the long drive for the day, wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who gets car sick.
Antony and antionone were amazing. Well timed, even when someone didn’t make it in time for coach to resume, he made sure they were taken care of.
It was great and I thank the esteemed tour leader. He really explained things very patiently💫 It was a very interesting and good experience🥳
Great day out in the beautiful Tuscany countryside. We did the small group tour, and the driver was very friendly (nice Mercedes van). The short walking local tour in Montepulciano was great, and then 30mins to shop (this felt a bit rushed, so It would have been nicer to have a full hour however!). I think our itinerary changed to what was described, as we had lunch in Pienza at a restaurant (not at a authentic Tuscan farm and winery which was a shame). It was ok, the restaurant was busy, food nice (shared cheese platter, main meal of pasta, plus a biscotti - wouldn't call that 3 courses), and they did not explain the wine, this part of the tour could be improved. Then an hour spent here for shopping, which was too much time and not enough shops compared to Montepulciano. Lastly the wine tasting at Castello Tricerchi, friendly tour and good explanation on the wines, not much talk on the olive oil. Overall some small things could be improved for the price you pay, but a great experience in a beautiful area of italy!
The picturesque cute towns. The winery lunch experience was nice. The driver Theo was very good. Souvenir shops were surprisingly nice and affordable.
A great day with good food and high-quality wine! Alessandro was an excellent guide for the day--knowledgeable, for sure--he clearly loves the areas around Orvieto and Montepulciano, and it shows. It was really nice to wander around Montepulciano itself, such a beautiful town steeped in the history of winemaking in Italy. So glad we chose to do this with one of our days in Italy.
It was great, really good, the tour leader was great at explaining things and the wine experience was also great.
This tour was amazing. Made new friends and the places we visited were so beautiful. Our tour guide Valentina was also very kind, patient and amazing. Loved every bit of this tour. I recommend 100%.
Navigating a guided tour should offer clarity, structure, and peace of mind. Unfortunately, my experience with our tour guide, Patricia, was marked by a severe lack of professionalism and basic accountability, ultimately ruining what should have been an enjoyable trip. The primary issue stemmed from a complete failure of communication. Patricia neglected to inform our group of the specific pickup location for the bus, nor did she provide the name or address of the restaurant where we were heading. When I managed to locate the site on my own and approached her regarding the oversight, her response was unexpectedly hostile and disrespectful. Rather than acknowledging the error or helping the group navigate the situation, she dismissively stated that it was "not her problem." As a tour guide, her primary responsibility is to lead, organize, and ensure the safety and inclusion of every participant. Instead, Patricia abandoned her duties entirely. Her neglect resulted in nearly leaving five people behind—and ultimately stranding three members of our group. When confronted about leaving these individuals behind, she brazenly expressed that she simply did not care. This level of disrespect and apathy is completely unacceptable for anyone in the hospitality and tourism industry. A tour guide's role is to guide, yet Patricia demonstrated neither leadership nor standard professional courtesy. Because of this unacceptable conduct, I will never use this tour company again. No stars.
