River Rafting på Den Gyldne Cirkel

It was an amazing experience. Our guide, Victoria, was so fun, and the ride was pretty long. Overall: 5 stars.

This is Iceland, the rivers are cold, and the company does a good job of providing fear to keep you warm on the water. They provide wetsuits, splash jackets, gloves, and boots, which we put on over our swimsuits and rash guards. In June, we didn’t have a need for wool thermals. The starting point has ample changing facilities and places to leave your dry clothes. Victoria was an engaging guide and connected well with the mixed group in our raft, which included teens and adults. After the tour, there were warm showers, hot tubs, and saunas, which alleviated any lingering coldness.

We and our teenagers enjoyed a rafting trip on the Hvítá River. Arctic Rafting was very well organized, providing all needed equipment (including MANY layers of wetsuit bits and pieces). The water was glacially cold but we all felt fine, even swimming in the river. These were not the biggest rapids we’d been on (almost entirely class 2s) but everyone enjoyed it. The paddling was not overly strenuous. The guides were fun and knowledgeable. The hot tub and sauna time after (included in the experience) were very nice. Don’t believe them though if they tell you the food you order will take “10 minutes.” It was close to an hour. But that didn’t spoil the fun.

For a first experience, it is well worth it! Quickly calm, blunt views, very friendly and accessible staff.

Wow! What an amazing experience! My two sons and I had such a great time. The guides, Argaun and Aman, were outstanding. We great core memories that we will cherish forever. A must do if you visit Iceland. Say hi to all the trolls you see in the cliffs above the rapids!

The experience was amazing! I was a little nervous at first, but once we got through the first rapid, I realized it would take a lot for the boat to flip over. The gear kept us warm the entire time — the only thing that got cold was my face. The views were absolutely incredible, and our guide, Victoria, was fantastic. She was funny, energetic, and made sure we were having fun the whole trip. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an adventure!

This was literally so much fun, our guides Aman and Victoria were so chill and funny, we played a lot of games and the cliff jump was great to watch, even though I chickened out

My wife and I had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Arctic Rafting Iceland! From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and made us feel completely safe while still delivering an exciting adventure. The scenery was breathtaking, the equipment was top quality, and the guides were knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about what they do.

SO much fun! Rafting and cliff jumping was awesome. Nicole was the BEST rafting guide and really made our experience a 10/10. After the chilly rafting, we got to enjoy the hot tub and sauna with some drinks.
