Vandring i Rio Celeste-vandfaldet - Llanos Del Cortes-vandfaldet og dovendyrobservatoriet

Vandretur til Celeste-floden er synet af et usædvanligt naturfænomen, hvor floden og dens klipper pludselig bliver lyseblå på grund af mineraler, der er skyllet fra jorden og ud i floden. Disse mineraler er resultatet af flodernes placering på siderne af den sovende Tenorio-vulkan og de resterende åbninger fra vulkanens dybder. Vi følger derefter floden nedstrøms for et forfriskende møde med et enormt vandfald, der løber ned langs siderne af vulkanen. Eventyr væk fra den traditionelle sti til det spektakulære ¨ Llanos de Cortez-vandfald¨. Dette afsondrede vandfald spænder over 30 fod højt og 40 fod bredt og fosser ned i en hvid sanddam. Nyd svømning, vandreture eller bare slappe af.

We couldn’t have had a better time on our adventure with Guanacaste Adventure & Travel. Wilmar thoroughly entertained us on the drive between sites with engaging stories about various landmarks and daily life in Costa Rica. On our hike to the beautiful Rio Celeste waterfall, he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. He then brought us to a wonderful wildlife preserve, where the local site guide helped us spot red-eyed tree frogs, poison dart frogs, an eyelash viper, a tapir, two sloths, and a toucan. Afterward, Wilmar treated us to a delicious, traditional lunch of pollo casado at a charming local restaurant, before finishing the perfect day with a swim at the stunning Llanos de Cortes cascade. Wilmar is an excellent driver and an expert naturalist who coordinates a flawless itinerary. We highly recommend Guanacaste Adventure & Travel!

Wow, what a great day. Wilmar is a great tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone that travels to the area. Our first stop was the sloth observatory, where we saw a lot of different flora and fauna and lots of wildlife. We were also very lucky to see a baby sloth up close. Second we went to tenorio national park. Wilmar guided us round the national park showing us different snakes, insects, tarantula holes and amazing things in the national park. We went down to rio celeste waterfall which was beautiful, although it was raining it still had a good blue coloured tint to the water. Finally our last stop was a waterfall swim back to the hotel. The water was cold, so we didn't swim but it was very picturesque. Thank you Wilmar for a great day and I hope more people get to experience your hospitality on the tours you provide.

Excellent tour for all ages. Wilmar was a fantastic guide who made quick adjustments to the pick-up location / time because we had an emergency. He was an excellent guide, and pointed out wildlife on our hike to the waterfall. The waterfall was magnificant. The staff at the sloth sanctuary were great with our grandchildren (8 and 9) and showed them lots of wildlife. We would enthusiastically recommend the tour ……and Wilmar!!

Wonderful excursion! My daughter and I loved it! Wilmar is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and we felt safe with him all day. The waterfalls and trails are beautiful. We loved seeing the wildlife and rainforest. Would definitely recommend!
