Horses and tour guides very friendly. Never rode a horse before and they made it so easy. Wished it was longer.

We had the most amazing time.. and the tour guide were amazing… the ride was so therapeutic. I definitely would recommend to anyone that wants to do horseback riding..

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!! The horses are abused! The whip them. Horse feel pain like humans. They work them so hard, the horses are exhausted. I’ve witnessed them galloping them up and down the beach in severe heat. Lift up the mains of these horses, and you will find that they are loaded with ticks. And I brought it to the attention of the guide they ignored me. Absolutely disgusting treatment! I just wish I had the money to take every one of them and give them a good nurturing home!

Our driver Karl was amazing and gave us some history on Jamaica. Our guides were funny and great! Would recommend for any family to try!

Looking back on this excursion I have mixed feelings. The idea of riding a horse in the ocean sounds great. The picture you get in your mind is a great experience and majestic. Now for the reality of it. We arrived to the location and our driver spoke to them and let them know that 6 of the 7 of us were going to do the horseback riding. This is where the picture gets a little less magical. They had plenty of horses to choose from but they chose for us. The names were interesting but humorous and kept us laughing. Me and my friends ranged in size and they had a horse for each of us. They explained to us what we had to do with the horse to get it to respond to us and each one of us had a guide that walked with us. So we didn't feel like we were in any real danger of the horse going crazy and we getting hurt. The smell was REALLY bad. All you smelled was horse poop and pee. Keep in mind that Jamaica is hot like really hot so the smell was even stronger then what it would be like in let's say Pennsylvania on a hot day. The trail was no better as far as the smell. Each guide walked us through how to properly sit on the horse as we go thru ups and downs. That way we didn't injure the horse. Considering that some of them looked malnourished. I appreciated that b/c the horses looked like they could of used a good meal or few. Some of my friends were able to smoke while riding the horse which they loved. We then went into the water and the horses had no issue. I could of done without the seaweed but it was a beautiful experience. The poop smell was gone for the water part. I'm going to hope that the water was as clean as it looked. The guides allowed anyone who wanted to take a small stroll without them guiding the horse a chance to do so. They weren't far away from us if we needed them. They just let us have a moment to "take charge". We could also see other parties behind and in front of us in the distance but we didn't get in each other's way. The we took the dreaded poop trail back to the beginning. Overall a nice excursion but here it is May and I went September 2023 and I can remember that smell like it was yesterday. When we went back to the beginning they offered us a picture package that they did along the way. The price started out at $300USD and when we said that was crazy they did lower it. Now keep in mind we all had our cell phones and were taking our own pictures. They finally brought it down to about $20/pp. We gave them one persons email and they did zip the file over to us. I've come to realize that anything you do in Jamaica has room for negotiations and they always start really high.

We had a horse back trip where it easy only my partner and myself with an obviously smaller horse back riding tour as another was also there taking groups of 15, it was just the 2 of us and 2 guides. They used my phone to take lots of pictures and we're very friendly. I'm glad the Driver ReeGe or JeanRay (can't remember was 5 stars. Guide Kevin and Greg were great! 5 stars

Great fun for the entire family. Rode through a trail and water and the guides took soo many awesome pics of us. Highly recommend!

Our family of 5 rode horses w/St.Ann’s Bay Riding Association location but I paid Courtney Taylor Tours as I didn’t have enough cash. We were highly disappointed. The ride was maybe 40min max and should have been an hour. The guides didn’t even ride the horses which was so odd. They walked beside the horses as we rode. We were expecting to ride through more jungle/rainforest, and it was only a few meters and then we were on the beach. They then proceeded to walk beside the horses with us on the beach, and let us gallop/run. Then they took us in the water where we went back-and-forth in the same area before going back. I told the guide when we returned that it was VERY short and he said because we got to gallop/run so took shorter. That shouldn’t matter. We paid for at least an hour. I can’t believe that it’s even a tour. I also contacted the company afterwards and the owner said he would get to the bottom of it. I called a couple of times and texted after that but never heard back from him. This experience warranted a poor review and I’ve never given one to any company. I would definitely rethink your choice as this company did not measure up.

Our driver Richard was amazing. The horse back riding was excellent everyone was respectful and accommodating. Worth it!
