For nylig stemt som en af TripAdvisor's bedste mad ture i USA. De fleste mennesker er bekendt med Bourbon Street og det franske kvarter, men mange mennesker kender ikke Magazine Street, hvor vores tur finder sted og har en rig historie omkring mad, kunst, kultur og natteliv. Vi besøger 4 forskellige butikker - prøv donuts og beignets hele vejen igennem. Begyndende med traditionelle beignets med pulveriseret sukker og en kop kaffe i hånden, vil vi lære om nabolagets rige historie som det relaterer til New Orleans. På vores anden stop vil vi følge op med håndlavede donuts i en af de bedste donutbutikker i New Orleans. Efter en kort gåtur, vil vi have nogle super interessante beignets med forskellige toppings og saucer, i modsætning til noget du har prøvet før. Og til sidst vil vi ende på vores sidste stop og vi vil have vores sidste overraskelse på turen. Det er helt sikkert en lækker og afslappet eventyr, du er sikker på at nyde. Håber at se dig snart!

Vores tur begynder i Garden District-kvarteret ved PJ's Coffee, en af de sødeste kaffebarer i New Orleans. Her vil vi prøve nogle af deres fantastiske beignets, vist ovenfor. Derefter går vi en afslappet tur langs Magazine Street. Vi fortsætter derefter til District Donuts, en af de bedste donutbutikker i New Orleans. Efter en kort gåtur besøger vi vores 3. og 4. stop for nogle fantastiske beignets. På hvert sted vil vi prøve adskillige forskellige typer, smagsvarianter og stilarter af donuts og beignets, så kom sulten! Bare en FYI - turen begynder og slutter ikke på samme sted.

This is a decent walking tour. Three of the four stops are for biegnets, so be aware if you are looking for lots of donuts. Our guide was really nice and took us through the garden quarter. The one drawback is that my wife was vegan and clearly indicated this on our reservation, but the guide had no idea in advance and had to improvise on the fly.

The tour was a nice change of pace. The doughnuts and beignets at the various places were great, and walking through the garden district was informative.

I have family in town and my co-worker suggested we try the donut tour. The starting location was easy to find, and the beignets were amazing. Emily was our guide, she was chatting it up with the neighbors and sharing knowledge of the area. She pointed out history as well as shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this tour for families. There were so many options even the pickiest eaters were pleased.

Bobbie and Emily were our tour guides and they were super enthusiastic! The donuts were delicious and I loved hearing about the history of beignets and the area. We got to sit and enjoy the donuts at each stop so we weren't standing all the time which was also appreciated. 10/10 would do again!
