Ferries weren’t running because of rough seas. Long bus queues so we paid 150 euros for two places on an eight seater minibus to Positano and Amalfi. The driver was great and the trip was an advertised. The scenery is pretty. But the roads were super-busy with long queues at tunnels and into both towns. And although Positano was scenic, Amalfi doesn’t have a lot going for it. Both places lacked class but were expensive. I don’t regret going but I wouldn’t put it high on the bucket list.

The tour itself was great. Driver stopped at various points for pictures, adequate time in Sorrento and Amalfi. The customer service woman was doing nothing at 10:05am when tour was supposed to leave at 10am. I inquired loudly when we were leaving and suddenly she decided to do her job. The driver was entertaining but his speaking and understanding English was poor.
Exceptional day, dedicated guide, knowing his region, describes the route with spirit and humor. Concerned about our well-being throughout the day. Recommended without any embarrassment.
I enjoyed the Amalfi and Positano tour with Alli. He was engaging and took us to some nice picture spots. Highly recommend.
We only went to Sorrento train station to ask for directions but got talking to a lovely lady at an information desk who suggested one of her trips. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! She offered us the Amalfi last minute tour which had a maximum of 8 passengers. We had an amazing driver who stopped off and took the best pictures at all the scenic hot spots. We had two hours in Amalfi and two hours in Positano! The day flew by. It was the best day of our entire trip as we got a flavour of these beautiful places before returning to Sorrento at 5pm. Careful driving in an air conditioned vehicle, seeing some amazing sights what more could you ask for. Excellent price too.
Generally speaking we hate tours but this was lovely! More Prosecco would have been good :) We thought there was a bit too much time swimming. Guides didn’t speak a word of English which was tricky. But the views ❤️
Brilliant tour guy. Went out of his way to show us everything, nothing was too much. Well organized. Paid extra to be collected from hotel and was worth every penny. Thanks Michal(Mike in English)
I hope that other people have a positive experience with this tour, we did not. First, the meeting point was not updated on their email, so we ended up at a different location. When we called the person on the phone didn't seem to care and said just come to where we are, its a short distance away. We got there and waited, half an hour later they ushered us into a van and we headed out. The driver was very young and didn't know any English, (was supposed to be a tour with an English-speaking driver). We made our way to the coast but the driver didn't stop anywhere as described, he just headed off to Positano where we stopped and he just up two fingers meaning we had two hours? Anyway, after that, we headed to Amalfi where we did the same thing. On the way back he didn't take the same coastal road, we ended up driving through the mountains and came out on the other side of Naples? He made out stop on the road and said there was a panoramic photo? It was windy and cold so we piled right back in the Van. When we got back the travel office was already closed so we couldn't speak to anyone to complain. When I conferred with the other passengers, we were all in agreement that what we got was NOT what we paid for, the price we paid per person was way too much and we didn't get our Money's worth. The young driver had no fault I think he was merely contracted to drive for the trip, he got lost once but got back on track shortly after that. During the trip, he also used his cell phone while driving quite a bit but he seemed to be asking directions from whoever he was speaking to. It's definitely Viator who owns the blame for this in not selecting companies that will deliver quality.
Quick way to get an overview of Positano and Amalfi……driver did point out highlights along the way ……only critique is that there were no quick stops to take pictures along this scenic beautiful drive ……therefore the 4/5 rating
