Feedback on my Mount Kilimanjaro trekking experience.
My friends & I were trekking. under Abdi
as our chief guide & his team of capable assistant guides ( Luca, Delvina)
and his supporting team of cook & porters, all very helpful & encouraging. Without Abdi’s leadership, experience & his team, we would not have enjoyed the trek
so much. Would certainly recommend Abdi & his team to friends who may want to do the Mount Kili trek.

Awesome and worth it
The 10 Zara team of guides, porters and cooks were very professional, caring and encouraging. They ensured my team of 3 ladies were well cared for. Abdi, Lukas, Delvina and Sharifa plus the others were all outstanding. Two out of 3 of us made it to Uhuru Peak. Our safety was their number 1 priority and we all made it back safely, satisfied. Thank you for helping me summit successfully.

Fantastic experience on Kilimanjaro
It was our first experience on Kilimanjaro. Isadin and his team organized it really wonderfully for us. Everything was thought of. One of us got sick and excellent care was provided and nothing was too much. The food that was prepared for us was delicious. Big compliments!

Marangu route tour - great team led by Yohana!
My dad and I had an unforgettable time climbing the Marangu Route with Yohana and his team! The Marangu is a tough climb, but they provided relentless support and took excellent care of us. Even when the altitude got the better of us and we had to turn back for health reasons, Yohana ensured our descent was safe, steady, and comfortable. Highly recommend booking your Kilimanjaro climb with Yohana—you won’t regret it!

We are "handi”capables”
My experience with Zara Tours is beyond words.
In 1999, a medical mistake led to the amputation of my leg and severe nerve damage. After 17 years in a wheelchair, I finally received a prosthetic in 2016. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2018, I was finally strong enough to try.
Finding the right organization felt impossible, until I met Mama Zara (Zainab Ansell). She didn’t see “disability”, she saw strength. She believes disability is not inability, according to her we are not handicapped but handi”capables” and because of her, I found my confidence, my purpose, and my dignity again. She changed my life, and the lives of so many others.
Since then, I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro six times with Zara, with incredible people facing their own challenges, amputees, blind individuals, people with MS, deaf, people with brain injuries, cancer survivors, and more.. And I’m already planning the next climb in 2027.
I will carry my gratitude for her in my heart forever.
