We had a tour with Asma and it was unforgettable. We walked for about two hours, over about 5km. The tour started at the local train station, and ended up high on a hill where we could see our starting location. Throughout the tour, Asma was welcoming, open, educational, and funny! Asma was very knowledgeable about history. We gained a whole new appreciation for Morocco's transitions between french, spanish, and self governance. She regularly pointed out buildings on our walk and gave us a wide range of context, including construction details, local customs, art history, and politics. She also gave us insights into modern culture. She was extremely open about what it's like living in Rabat, and Morocco more generally today. That's a big reason we travel, and she did not disappoint. She knew so much about local politics and customs that we just would not have been exposed to without this tour. Throughout the tour, she showed us places we hadn't seen, even after being here for a couple months. We scored a recommendation for a hammam that we're excited about, and there's a spot we're eager to check out for coffee too! Definitely book a tour with Asma. The rest of your visit to Rabat will be deeply enriched.
The guide was really great and had huge knowledge about history, architecture. Excellent! I would recommand this tour to everyone.
The 3 hour Rabat walking tour with our female guide (Asmaan?) was great! She gave us historic background information throughout the whole tour, very witty, funny, charming, enthusiastically. We got a good understanding of the city which helped us to move around throughout the entire week we stayed in there. I loved the Rabat very much because of her introduction. We loved the authenticity of the friendly people with not too many tourists visiting and we were able to move around the inner city very comfortably because of all the information she gave us on our very first day in Rabat.
We came from lebanon to visit rabat for the very first time it was a smooth easy nice trip with Asmaa she took really good care of us she showed us the whole city in a nice program, she is very friendly, helpful
Asmaa was an amazing tour guide! As women traveling solo we felt more comfortable with a female tour guide. No upselling or side arrangements, just a lovely tour and LOTS of history and information. Would recommend 100%
We had the best tour guide. She was amazing, funny and passionate. We truly enjoyed the tour. Great experience!!!
Excellent city, safe to visit and discover.
Asmaa is an excellent guide and deeply knowledgeable and my family had a wonderful time exploring Rabat with her. We met in front of the train station and received a detailed exploration of the architecture, fascinating history and current events of Rabat/Morocco. Her love for her country is deep and it was a pleasure to listen to her observations. Lastly Asmaa is warm and thoughtful and we benefited from her local knowledge, taking a row boat back to our hotel (delightful!). If you are in Rabat, do yourself a favor and set some time aside to explore the area with Asmaa.
Asmaa is a wonderful guide and person to learn from. She shared lots of historical knowledge and stories of the culture. She had funny jokes to share and made the tour very enjoyable and memorable. She offered lots of information and was open to questions the whole way. I had such a great time and definitely recommend this tour, and Rabat! Stunningly beautiful and rich in history. Thank you Asmaa!
Loved the tour. The guide is a very positive and cheerful person. She takes you around Rabat and shows notable places in about 3 hours. I say the price is still a bit too high. Also note that when you go into the booking page on Tripadvisor on your phone and click the location, it shows you the wrong place in your maps app. The meeting point is the train station, not next to Medina.
