Provence Dagstur fra Aix: Baux, Pont du Gard, Avignon og Vin

I don't often leave reviews, but this tour absolutely deserves one. I had just spent five days based in Provence and wanted to visit several places that, in my view, would have been difficult to reach efficiently without renting a car or constantly changing hotels. I had settled on staying first in Arles and then in Aix-en-Provence (both with museums I was keen to visit), but I also wanted to see iconic sites like Pont du Gard and the Palais des Papes in Avignon. This tour—which also incorporated Les Baux-de-Provence and a winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape—made it possible to experience all of them in a single, well-organized day. I felt I had enough time to appreciate each stop, and I always appreciate small-group tours that eliminate the need to drive, park, and figure out all the logistics. All in all, this trip was an excellent value and a perfect way to see some of Provence's most famous sites. As a bonus, while in Arles I had fallen in love with the legendary Mistral winds, so it was fun to return to that part of the region one last time before heading home! Our guide, Audrey, was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the day. One final note deserves special mention. I accidentally left my prescription sunglasses in the van after the tour. They were very important to me, and Audrey and everyone at A la Française went above and beyond to locate them and arrange for their return. That level of customer service—especially after the tour had ended—left as much of an impression on me as the tour itself.

Really enjoyed the tour with Laurent and Emmanuel. They were a great team. Failing getting out of the city for a day.

This trip takes you to some iconic sites in Provence. All were very interesting and provided the opportunity to see more rural areas. However, there really wasn’t enough time to explore the old château in Baux and there was an admission fee. Extra time at the Pont du Gard would have been appreciated so that one could rent a kayak or go swimming. Important to know that you will arrive in Avignon for a late lunch. Time was also limited here. If you wanted to find your way to the Pont d’Avignon( also has an admission fee), you really don’t have time to take the train tour or visit the Pope’s Palace. The guide gave information while driving but you are basically on your own at each site. She was helpful, but unfortunately, the folks in the back seat of the van had difficulty hearing her. The host at the Châteauneuf-du-Pape winery was really welcoming and passionate about explaining the wine making process. We really enjoyed the trip, but it would have been much better to have more time at the first three sites.

We traveled in a comfortable van and got see all the scheduled sites without feeling rushed. This was more than "drive-by tour."

It was a full day tour with all the highlights . The guide was knowledgeable and kind. I would certainly recommend this tour to get a good overview of Provence .

I found it not as informative as other tours! We were all English and had to ask many questions when driving through towns! Not a lot shares as far as history etc.. just in major sites. She was lovely but found it laborious for her

We enjoyed our day out with Sebastian in Provence! He did the driving, allowing us to enjoy listening to his stories and knowledge of all the locations we visited: Les Baux, Pont du Gard, Avignon, and the wine region.

Emanuel was very patient, knowledgeable and this tour allows for a great tour of Provence while also giving you your own time at each of the stops. The weather was perfect and everything was on time. Highly recommend!!!
