Private VW Beetle Tour til Chichen Itza, Cenote og Valladolid

Opereret af Senor Travel Bug, er ruten for denne tur en klassiker af Cancun og Riviera Maya-regionen, men med to hovedforskelle. Du vil køre i en Classic VW Beetle malet som en racerbil (selvom du kan vælge en mere "standard" bil, hvis du foretrækker), og din guide, en tidligere professionel fotograf, vil tage billeder og video i løbet af dagen, som alle vil blive delt med dig gratis den følgende dag. Du bør ikke forlade denne region af Mexico uden at besøge Chichen Itza, det eneste moderne vidunder af verden i Nordamerika. Efter en guidet tur i ruinerne, et forfriskende dyk i en cenote altid viser sig meget velkommen og noget, du kun kan opleve i denne region. Det sidste stop er i Valladolid, hvor du går rundt i gaderne og hovedtorvet, måske forfriskende med en kølig drink ved siden af katedralen for at afslutte turen før tilbagevenden til Cancun. Det første besøgte sted er Chichen Itza, et UNESCO-verdensarvssted siden 1980'erne og kåret til verdens moderne vidunder i 2007. Det anses for at være det vigtigste af Maya-steder, primært fordi det har bygninger fra de to maya-epoker og derfor adskiller sig fra hinanden. arkitekturstile, der afspejler den skiftende politik, overbevisning og kultur fra 435AD til den spanske erobring i det 16. århundrede, men også for dens religiøse betydning for mayaerne som et pilgrimssted. Vi kører i cirka 2h45 for at ankomme til Chichen Itza, afhængigt af afhentningssted.
Vores andet stop vil typisk være til enten en eller to cenoter, og vil blive valgt efter at have diskuteret med den besøgende deres præferencer, f.eks. klippespring, blot at flyde, se hulestrukturer osv. og kunne være før eller efter frokost afhængigt af sult og hvor meget tid der blev brugt i Chichen Itza (en fordel ved en privat tur). Besøgende kan derefter svømme, hoppe eller blot slappe af i det kølige vand i cenoterne, der er noget unikt for denne region af verden. Vi kører i 30-45 minutter efter Chichen Itza for at nå dette sted (afhængigt af den valgte cenote, der afspejler hver enkelt persons eller gruppes stil (dvs. rolig eller eventyrlig cenote)
Enten før eller efter cenoten stopper vi for at spise frokost, igen afhængigt af de besøgendes præferencer. Maden er ikke inkluderet, men guiden vil komme med anbefalinger fra sin erfaring og viden, der afspejler deres smag og budget. Dette kunne være (afprøvet og testet) street food, en lokalbefolknings restaurant, hvor du kan besøge køkkenet og se tortillas blive lavet, en high-end Maya restaurant eller endda et pizzasted. Det sidste stop på din mexicanske klassiske tur i en mexicansk klassisk bil (eller alternativ, hvis det foretrækkes) er i Valladolid, en mexicansk pueblo-magi eller 'magisk by'. Valladolid er den nærmeste spanske koloniby til Cancun og Riviera Maya, hvilket gør det værd at besøge for at se et andet 'ansigt' af Mexico. Vi vil vandre i de mest attraktive gader i Valladolid, måske gå på opdagelse i dets butikker og også på den centrale plads, og vi lukker ofte dagen af med en kølig forfriskende drink ved siden af katedralen. Vi kører i 5-30 minutter for at ankomme til Valladolid, og efter en tur i den magiske by kører vi i cirka 2 timer for at vende tilbage til dit afhentningssted i Cancun, Puerto Morelos eller Playa del Carmen.

This was such a great tour! Paul offered customized recommendations and slight detours based on our individual preferences. He was very knowledgeable about all the stops and everything else in between. Based on the above, we definitely got a local taste of the region. Thanks again, Paul!
Our day with Paul was phenomenal. I’m an over-planner and over-thinker, so I connected with Paul months ahead of our trip, and he engaged with me immediately and continued to be a resource for questions prior to us ever meeting! Everything from booking, pick up, the tour itself, and returning to the hotel was super smooth. Zero stress from point to point. The cost of the tour is 100% aligned with value. Our day with Paul was filled with history, cultural insights, humor, and yummy food we would not have discovered without him! Our group of four opted for the Chichen Itza, Cénote, and Valldolid day, and we are so glad we did! We certainly would have booked another day with him exploring other sites and areas if we were here longer! The four of us are the on the big and tall side, so we opted for the Mitsubishi Xpander vehicle over the VERY COOL VW Bug. The ride was comfortable and quiet. This adventure was without a doubt the highlight of our visit, and should we return, we will be seeing Paul again!
We had magical moments thanks to our guide PAUL, A la carte day without constraint, we took full advantage of what we wanted to do without time obligation. We visited chizen itza and a cenote, we had lunch in a local restaurant that was excellent. H
We had an excellent experience with Senior Travel Bug, touring the pyramids, a cenote, and a nearby colonial town with Paul. The entire day was thoughtfully curated and never felt rushed or overly scripted. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable and he brought the history to life in a way that was engaging without being overwhelming, and he adjusted the depth of information based on our interests. What really stood out was how he tailored the pace of the day to us, making it feel like a truly personalized experience rather than a standard tour. He’s also genuinely friendly and easy to spend the day with, which makes a big difference on a full-day excursion. We had a great time and would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for a high-quality, customized tour experience.

Paul was recommended to us by our friend who used to work with him and we are so grateful to her for introducing us. We spent 2 full days with Paul and could have happily gone on for so many more. We cannot recommend him and his trips more highly. On the first day he took us to Chichén Itzá and on the way we got to know him whilst he explained the history of the Mayan period and that of the Yuucatan penninsula in general. Once at Chichén Itzá he continued his brilliant tour telling us about all the buildings, and combined this with his characteristic friendly and fun approach so that the whole experience was both fascinating and totally enjoyable. He was happy to go at any pace to suit our questions. After that he took us to a beautiful Cenote, timing the visit perfectly to avoid the crowds. After a delicious lunch in a restaurant he chose to suit our needs, we wandered around Valladolid with him where, once again, his immense knowledge of the area and its history made the visit brilliant. At the end of the day, driving around in his wonderful and incredibly comfortable Beetle we felt like we'd certainly made a new friend, as well as having had a perfect day. As already mentioned, we could not recommend him more highly!
We had an amazing experience with our guide Paul in Mexico! He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He made the whole trip feel special and memorable. Paul even took some incredible photos and videos for us, which we will always cherish. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. What a fantastic tour from start to finish great fun! Paul was just superb from local area knowledge, to information around the ruins, He designed the tour to suit our needs and desires, kept the kids interested and included in all with interactive experiences along the way. Plus also a professional photographer so win win. The Absolute highlight of our holiday and strongly recommend to all. We Will be sure to contact Paul next time we visit Mexico again.
We had a wonderful time with Paul. We had a group of 4, and were skeptical about travelling the distance in the VW Bug, so Paul made arrangements to drive us to Chichén Itzá in a quite comfortable Audi Q5. He arrived promptly at 6:30 am, was patient with hotel security and got us on the road promptly. We made it to Chichén Itzá shortly after opening, before the vast majority of the crowds formed. He was a great guide, answered any questions we had and was very interactive. We felt very comfortable with Paul. We opted to skip the cenote experience (as we have already done similar experiences). It was great to have that flexibility. On the way to Valladolid, we stopped by a great authentic restaurant in Kaua. He showed us our lunch being prepared-handmade tortillas and pork. It was delicious. We shopped at Valladolid, ate too much, talked about our experiences and travels - and headed back. At the end of our journey, Paul sent us all the photos that he had been taking throughout the day - which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Paul to my friends and family if they ever visited the area. Thanks, Paul!
