Yehliu er en cape på Taiwans nordlige kyst, mest kendt for Yehliu Geopark, hvor havets erosion har formet honningkorn og svampe sten som den ikoniske Queen’s Head og Dragon’s Head. Området er for det meste fladt, men tilbyder lidt skygge, så solbeskyttelse anbefales om sommeren.
Shifen Waterfall er Taiwans mest berømte kaskade, der fodres af Keelung River, og måler omkring 20 meter (66 fod) højt og 40 meter (131 fod) bredt. At nå udsigtsplatformen tager omkring 30 minutters gang, delvis skygget og krydser en suspension bro.
Denne gamle gade ligger lige ved siden af Shifen Station i Pingxi-området, hvor en aktiv jernbanelinje løber direkte gennem markedet. Besøgende lancerer himmel lanterner på sporene, pauser hver gang et tog rumler forbi.
Føl dig transporteret til denne tidligere guldminedrift bjergby - engang bygget af japanerne og nu en labyrint af historiske stier og smug. De fleste af de charmerende gader er trapper linet med snack stald og tehuse, og de kan få ganske overfyldt. (Tip: Hvis du ønsker at opleve Jiufen ved solnedgang eller skumring, kan du booke en afgang efter 11:00. Everything from start to finish is covered, very easy to navigate and able to see a bit more of Taiwan. Jackson was a great guide, especially with the wet weather, and we still manged to see and do eveything our group was interested in. Great day!

It was our first time going to most of the places on the itinerary. Jackson was a superb host and guide. It’s a great ‘finishing’ trip during our time in Taiwan as well. We started the trip at 1 pm because we wanted to be able to see Jiufen in the evening. Even though it’s in the peak of summer, the weather cooperated beautifully. It rained in the morning before we started our trip and by the time we got to Yeliu, it was overcast with the sun peaking through here and there. It was also breezy, and the same goes for the rest of the day. Jackson showed us many of the best spots to take photos and also took photos and videos of us. We made a stop to get some bubble teas along the way. 🧋He also took us to a great spot for dinner up in Jiufen. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and really cater to what we wanted. We would definitely use him again when we return to Taiwan. Thank you, Jackson! 🙏
Hicks Wang was such a great guide and really made our day special. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to, and his English was excellent. He also came prepared with umbrellas and water, which was really thoughtful and made things much more comfortable for us. He even went the extra mile and treated my kids to boba tea and some local sweets, which they absolutely loved!! We had such a fun and memorable day with Hicks and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great guide. Thank you, Hicks, for making our day so enjoyable and memorable!
I traveled to Taiwan for one day and decided to book this a tour, and I loved it. Sean was very accommodating, patient and shared so much information about Taiwan which I loved.
