Tidligt om morgenen går vi mod den sydlige del af byen gennem vulkanernes Avenue, såkaldt fordi, hvis vejret tillader os, vil vi være i stand til at observere bakker og vulkaner som Pasochoa, Corazón, Ilinizas blandt andre, indtil vi når Cotopaxi National Park, hvor vi besøger Tolkecentret, her vil vores guide forklare og besvare alle dine spørgsmål om den højeste aktive vulkan i verden.
Vi fortsætter med at besøge Limpiopungo-lagunen og tager en interessant gåtur for at observere fugle og planter, der har tilpasset sig disse kolde klimaer. På vejen tilbage venter vores transport på, at du besøger en rosenplantage og ser, hvordan de bedste blomster i verden produceres.

The experience of visiting Cotopaxi and the Rose production tour was good. The only problem was our reservation stated that the pickup would be at 7:30. However, our guide showed up at 8:00. He stated that he was told to be at the hotel at that time. We have had previous messages via What’s App regarding pick up time or any updates which did not occur today.
Rose Tour was brilliant, guide was asleep all the on way back after lunch all the way back to the City. Cotopaxi walk around the lagoon was ok but not what we expected (seemigly other side gives full view when weather not too bad.)

The guide and driver were very informative and punctual. On the way to Cotopaxi we stopped at view points and learned about the volcanos which surround Quito. We did in fact book the incorrect tour (we hoped to hike to the glacier which wasn't this tour). The guide facilitated the change without issue, organising local guides to take us to the refuge in a 4x4. *Do be aware that this tour is to the Cotopaxi Laguna and not above.* We were very happy and would certainly use this company again!
Visiting cotopaxi is impressive but you need to be lucky to see the mountain not too covered with clouds. Wind also plays its part and can be strong. There are many trails in the park so you don't have to climb too high. There are a few haciendas in the park with awesome views.
