Private Mekong Delta Adventure: My Tho & Cykling på BenTre Island

This is the perfect private tour exploring the communities along the Mekong Delta! Our tour guide, Tony, was very hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made our tour very comfortable and fun with many different activities throughout the day. We were picked up promptly, was given cold water and enjoyed a comfortable ride in a clean SUV. Tony was so engaging during the car ride to the Mekong Delta by showing us a map of Vietnam and having conversation about the facts and history of the country. We really enjoyed our conversation. On our way to Mekong Delta, we stopped by a pagoda where Tony shared with us the 3 different Buddhas and their meanings. We then went through the town of My Tho where Tony gave us historical background. Even though it rained, Tony was great at keeping the timing and our safety in mind. We enjoyed our boat ride over to the first island where we enjoyed fresh fruit while listening to traditional live music. We then went to see how coconut candy was made and tasted honey bee tea, banana chips and peanut candy. We took a boat ride to another island where we enjoyed a delicious meal by the river. 5/5 for the lunch where they served a whole fried elephant ear fish and rolled up 4 fresh spring rolls using the fish meat in front of us. We also enjoyed shrimp directly from the Mekong. Afterwards, we were able to work off our lunch with a 20 min bike ride throughout the communities. Perfect way to end the tour. We really enjoyed our experience and have to thank Tony and our driver, Victory, for making it a smooth and fun experience. I went on a tour with Mekong Silt Travel to the Mekong Delta and had an amazing cycling experience through the beautiful coconut plantations in Ben Tre. Our tour guide was fantastic and the scenery was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of the region.

He provided us with a wealth of information about the history and culture of the area, and the short cycling portion of the trip through the coconut plantations and villages was a definite highlight. We chose the Mekong Delta tour because of Tony, our guide from the day before, and we really enjoyed the experience. Biking through the coconut plantations was amazing. Although we only rode for around an hour, we got to see local life in the Mekong Delta. The food was delicious, especially the Elephant Ear Fish. It was a lovely day overall.

It was an amazing day with Erik in the Mekong Delta. Our family loved the scenery as we biked through the coconut villages – that was the highlight of the trip. It only took about an hour, but we got to see so much. We also had the chance to go rowing and visit a honeybee farm, which our family enjoyed immensely. We highly recommend this trip.
