Dette er ikke kun en dags tur. Det er en personlig oplevelse guidet af en lokal, der virkelig elsker at dele Sri Lanka. Jeg tilpasser hver tur til dit tempo og interesser, uanset om du ønsker at udforske, slappe af eller opdage skjulte steder, de fleste rejsende savner. Undervejs besøger vi højdepunkter som havskildpaddernes helligdom, de ikoniske staldfiskere og det historiske Galle Fort, men stopper også på små, autentiske steder, der ikke er turistmæssige. Du bliver hentet fra dit hotel I Hikkaduwa, Dodanduwa, Ginthota, Galle, Unawatuna, Talpe eller Koggala og overfør for at besøge OLD DUTCH FORT GALLE. Fortet blev bygget for at sikre beskyttelse og bevarelse af byen, portugiserne i begyndelsen af det 16. århundrede og derefter omfattende befæstet af hollænderne i det 17. århundrede. Oprindeligt var fortet en jordstruktur med palisader, en voldgrund og tre bastioner og en vollgrav, der omgiver det. Under hollandske kontrol byggede de uimprægelige befæstigelser med koraller og granitsten, og fortet lignede en lille anlagt bymur med et rektangulært gittermønster af gader fulde af lave huse med gavler og verandaer.
Næste stop er japansk fredspagode Fredspagoden på Rumasalla-bakken er en af tre buddhistiske stupaer på Sri Lanka. Stupas er monumenter, der tjener som fredsfyr for folk i alle nationaliteter og trosbekendelser, og det rene, afrundede design af Unawatuna-pagoden er et eksempel på dette. Besøgende kan gå eller køre den skyggefulde sti til Fredspagoden, og de vil blive belønnet med en ruvende, hvid klokke-lignende struktur omgivet af guldmalte statuer. Sæt af trin fører også til en gangbro, der omkranser helligdommen, som giver en 360-graders udsigt over junglen og bugten.

Efter at have lige oplevet Unawatunas sjælknusende halthed, var denne strand præcis, hvad vi havde brug for. Fred, ensomhed og smuk natur.
Stiltfiskeri er en af de mest interessante traditionelle fiskemetoder i Sri Lanka. Registreringer viser, at det blev til lige efter 2. verdenskrig. Denne fiskemåde blev mere udbredt langs kysten indtil tsunamien i 2004, hvilket fik sådanne aktiviteter midlertidigt til at ophøre indtil de senere år. Det smukke syn af fiskere stod grenede poler, når de fisker dygtigt i daggry, middag og skumring; kan nu ofte findes langs den sydlige kyst i byer som Koggala.
vores næste stop er Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery. Klekkeriet drives af enkeltpersoner lige ved stranden for at bevare skildpaddesæg lagt på den brede lange strand, der strækker sig hele vejen til hotellerne i Koggala. Hawksbill, tømmerhoved og grønne skildpadder hænger sammen her.
Unawatuna Beach – Sri Lanka Slap af på den verdensberømte Unawatuna Beach, en af de smukkeste gyldne sandstrande på Sri Lankas sydkyst. Omgivet af palmer og roligt turkisfarvet vand er denne bugt perfekt til at svømme, solbade og opleve den afslappede tropiske atmosfære. Gæsterne kan nyde fritiden til at gå langs kysten, tage billeder, svømme i de milde bølger eller slappe af på en café ved stranden. Unawatuna er kendt for sine sikre svømningsforhold og fantastisk udsigt over solnedgangen, hvilket gør det til et must-besøg i syd.

Sometimes, these reviews are about the wonderful place you visited. Other times, it is about your guide. When the two combine, you have a truly memorable excursion. To start, we had the most wonderful guide. Great sense of humor, the ability to understand when his elderly tourists were wearing out and the wisdom to put unscheduled stops into the “walk around Galle Fort.” The Japanese Peace Pagoda, the stilt fishermen (yes, we know they no longer make their living by fishing this way - they make their money off us taking pictures of them), the Kosgodda Turtle Rescue group, Galle Fort and a half dozen little places we visited because our guide said we would enjoy them (and no, they were NOT high priced tourist marts) like a Sri Lankan cemetery (because my brother is a funeral director and he loves us sending photos of cemeteries in other places). All in all, one of our best Viator tours.

We only had half a day of spare time and this private tour led by Milan was perfect! We enjoyed the walks of scenery and educational talk at the sea turtle sanctuary quite a lot. The beaches and the sea are truly breathtaking. This trip suits couples and family who'd like to travel in their own pace.

It was amazing. Nuwan who was our driver and guide was very friendly and welcoming. Had a great time with my friends . We enjoyed a lot and the trip was very pleasant.
Milan was a wonderful guide! My children and I absolutely loved this private tour. Everything was organized perfectly and at a very relaxed pace, which was ideal for traveling with kids. The silent fishing experience was a real highlight for the children - my daughter was so excited to try it themselves. We also visited a turtle farm, where we learned a lot about these amazing animals and even got to see baby turtles. At the end of the day, we visited the Dutch Fort and watched a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect way to finish the tour. Milan was very kind, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. I highly recommend this tour to families and anyone who wants a peaceful, unforgettable experience!

Really very good tour with a charming guide, Milan. Took us to all the good sites in the area and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to take us to an antiques shop for in a remote part of Galle and in general he was very obliging. Can recommend.

Mila the guide was very friendly, great English and very knowledgeable with a good car. I got to experience everything that’s listed, although the turtle sanctuary is a big cramped. Galle fort is amazing but I was staying there anyway so I think I could have organised the same trip locally for less money.
