Private Boat Charter udforske Southern Gulf Islands Tour

Our family of 8 took Captain Dieter’s Captain’s Tour. He had told us his tour would be like showing out of town friends his “backyard.” It proved to be that and more. We had perhaps the best day of our BC vacation. While very personable Dieter is also very professional. Our safety was his number one concern. His knowledge of the islands was also very helpful. We stopped for lunch at Salt Spring, and saw several small seaside villages hidden in small coves and harbours, We saw Dalhs porpoises, otters, endless seabirds and Bald Eagles along the way. It was easy to move around the boat’s 3 seating areas and the washroom came in handy. Towards the end of the trip he beached the boat on a sandy beach where we all enjoyed “Caribbean” like sand between our toes. We’ve already booked for next year.

Amazing service and the tour was amazing

The Captain’s tour was most enjoyable. We loved seeing the spectacular coastal scenery, stopping for lunch at the Ganges Saturday market and finishing with drinks on the deck of Poet’s Cove resort. Viewing the many varieties of sea birds along the way and being lucky enough to spot a playful dolphin, made it a great adventure.

During a family stay at their oceanfront B&B we chartered their boat for a private day of sightseeing in the Gulf Islands. We enjoyed the famous market on Salt Spring Island where we also stopped for a delicious lunch at the Tree House Cafe. We toured Montague harbour and surrounding area of Galiano Island. We cruised past Mayne and stopped at a winery on Saturna. Boating in the narrow channel between the Pender Islands as we headed to Poets Cove was a postcard experience. It is a beautiful and very comfortable boat. Captain Dieter made us feel like "family and friends" during this excursion keeping us safe and well informed. This is the best experience we've had in Victoria since visiting here for the past decade. Highly recommend.

Dieter picked up our family (13 and 16 year old) and two friends at Pender Island and took us out for a great day at Saturna Island, visit to Cabbage Island and around Pender Island. Very comfortable boat for our party of 6. Dieter is a knowledgeable captain and felt safe the entire time.

Dieter was an incredible host taking us through our adventure for the day as if we were boating around the Gulf Islands with a brother or uncle. First stop was the Salt Spring Island and market which was fantastic and a lovely little town to walk around in. He then toured us in what was a very smooth riding, clean and bigger than expected, beautiful boat around all the islands, through islets and under bridges to Piets Cove. We shared a drink and dessert together while the kids ran around enjoying the property then back to shore. He got us back to shore on time to head to Buchart Gardens to put our blankets out, see the gardens and enjoy the fireworks show in comfort! Fantastic day, perfect host and smooth riding boat around some very scenic islands.

I planned to propose on this trip and Dieter was amazing and made our day the best it could have been! I had been emailing back and forth about it for roughly 6 months and he helped organise the best day! So appreciative

We booked a private boat tour with Birds of a Feather Marine as a team outing and had an absolutely incredible experience. Captain Dieter was fantastic—professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the islands. He made the day feel both relaxed and special from the moment we stepped aboard. Our trip included a lunch stop on Salt Spring Island and a quick drink at Poets Cove on Pender Island. The timing of everything was perfect—just enough time to explore without ever feeling rushed. The scenery along the way was stunning, and being out on the water was such a refreshing change of pace for our whole team. This was a truly memorable way to connect as a team while enjoying some of the best the Gulf Islands have to offer. Highly recommend!!

I had the opportunity to go out on a charter with my work team and it was nothing short of amazing! First we ventured over to salt spring island where we stopped at the marine and walked over to a lovely restaurant for a delicious lunch! After that we made our way over to Pender Island where we stopped for some cheese cake and drinks! Dieter was an incredible guide and captain! Friendly, professional, and made everyone feel safe out on the water! You can tell that he’s truly passionate about what he does! The boat was also very comfortable with seating inside and outside! The whole experience was perfectly put together, it was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation! I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a great experience out on the water!
