Rosa’s depth of knowledge on this topic made for a genuinely rich experience. She synthesized history, culture, and insight with remarkable ease — never overwhelming, always purposeful. What stood out most was her personalized approach: weaving in stories, clearing up misconceptions, and grounding the significance of people and places in ways that actually landed. The result was something both humanizing and memorable, pleasurable to experience and meaningful to carry forward.
Having a guide to explain enriches the experience and worth the investment. Thank you Joss..........
We loved our tour of Templo Mayor with our guide Cuauhtémoc! The tour was thorough and informative, and both the guide and tour company were communicative and easy to work with.
Booked at the last minute (and then dropped off in the wrong place by Uber), Arturo was a great guide and patient. Templo Mayor is really a must see. What i like most about Arturo was how well he covered the complex symbolism and religion of the Aztecs. As others have said, you can see Templo Mayor on your own, but a huge makes it so much better. Tums Arturo!
Arturo was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable. Initially on our first day when we walked in the zocalo area, I thought I don’t know how much more you will see of templo mayor with an entry and it is not reconstructed so maybe not worth a guided tour especially since we were going to the anthropology museum. I was wrong. To get closer and see the residual colors and to see the artifacts in the museum made the entry fee worthwhile. I also don’t think you can appreciate what you are seeing without a guide. Two hours was perfect. Still more to see if we want to return but good overview of the temple. Don’t hesitate to book it.
The site is fantastic and full of historical objects. Definitely a place to see. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but late due to traffic. That's understandable in Mexico City. However, we apparently were given two different meeting points by Viator. It took about an hour to connect with our guide. Viator needs to do a better job with connecting guide and customer. We stayed at the museum after the guide left so we were able to see everything we were interested in. Amazing place!
Dear Traveller, We are deeply perplexed by this situation, as we have been providing this service for a year and it is the first time it has occurred. Your guide was only five minutes late, and he was standing at the point that was sent to you via email and WhatsApp one day prior to the tour.
Ricardo was our guide and he was exactly what we needed on this tour. A great blend of stories and history that made both the ruins and the museum come alive for the kiddo. He was aware of when we were ready to move on and when there were questions. He took photos of us and passed them on to us which was great because it’s always hard to get family photos on vacation. Lastly the pre-communication of Ricardo and the company was perfect because it gave us all the information of where to meet etc. Highly recommend this tour and company.
Rosa is the perfect tour guide! She gave us loads of fascinating information, telling stories and explaining things. Felt like a day out with a super knowledgable friend! We really enjoyed Rosa’s company and we were so pleased that she conducted both of our tours back to back for the Anthropology Museum and Templo Mayor. Perfect English, lots of fun and a great insight into the history of Mexico. Faultless! Thank you Rosa for being so amazing!!
The Templo Mayor is amazing. Built and rebuilt seven times in just 200 years. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and passionate.
Our guide was Nelally, she was overflowing with knowledge of Mexico’s pre-Cortez history, culture and religious practices. The miracle of the modern day discovery of Tenochtitlán temples underneath historic colonial buildings, and the country’s decision to demolish them in order to pursue an archaeological dig that continues to this day, is very moving, and the abundance of discoveries made since then, which are laid out so well in the on site museum, calls for an interested, intelligent, personable and knowledgeable guide. Nelally absolutely fits the bill, we were so happy to have found her to lead us through this short history of jaw dropping discovery.
