En smuk køretur ud af London mod vest og chancen for at opleve tre helt forskellige epoker af Storbritanniens lange historie, fra dandies af smarte 1700-tals Bath, tilbage gennem romernes civiliserende kultur til de fjerne og mystiske neolitiske folk med deres fantastiske himmel tempel af tunge sten. Vi kommer også til at turnere gennem nogle af Englands smukkeste landskaber i en komfortabel Mercedes.

Besøg smukke Bath i al dets Regency-pragt. Meget elsket af dandies og det smarte sæt, hjemsted for et majestætisk kloster, et fornemt universitet og selvfølgelig de berømte romerske varme bade. Ved ankomsten tager vi en hurtig panoramisk køretur, og sørger for at inkludere Royal Crescent og Circus, to af Baths arkitektoniske perler og nogle af de mest eftertragtede ejendomme i landet. Vi parkerer derefter centralt og går en tur rundt i det historiske kloster, stort set skånet af Henry Vllls reformation, før vi udforsker de romerske bade, som er overraskende intakte og stedet for et af Englands bedste museer. Her blev gudindens kult, Sulis Minerva, holdt i over 400 års romersk-britisk historie. Stoll (måske stopper til frokost undervejs) gennem de smukke gader op til Beau Nash House, King of Bath og dandy i chief, han var en inkarneret kvindebedårer, gambler og trendsætter.
Besøg måske det ældste og mest mystiske sted i England. Et tempel, himmelkalender og hellig gravplads i ét. Engang menes at være blevet tryllet ud af vesten af Merlin, men nu afsløret af moderne videnskab at være blevet transporteret fra sit oprindelige sted i Wales af neolitisk mand, omkring 150 miles af ren beslutsomhed og muskelkraft. Udforsk livet, som det var for nogle af vores tidligst opdagelige forfædre, mennesker som dig og jeg, der nedfældede tidernes visdom med deres intime viden om solen, stjernerne og årstiderne. The tours and ride were second to none. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable! The tours were fun and highly informative with my tour guide’s explanations! Chris picked out a delicious location for lunch too! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and again!

Took the Evan Evans tour from London to Stonehenge and Bath. It was lovely. Our guide Peter and driver Rad were amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Mark was a fabulous guide! Witty and wicked fun sense of humor. He is So well versed in everything Stonehenge - he was better than any audio guide. Our experience in Bath was perfectly lovely as well. He found a nice Italian place for us to dine prior to the Abbey. And he was happy to take a few detours for us so we can take in as much as we could in one day! Next time I am in London, we will call him specifically for a different tour!
Very glad to share my enthusiasm for the mysteries of the ancient stones. I probably get a bit over excited about things like massive holes in the ground that aren't even there any more! Yes its lovely at The Square in the square. You get a view of the Abbey, the pump room and, if you're lucky, some great live music from one of the buskers. We even had a laugh trying to escape Bath in the rush hour. Do you remember the scooter girl!?
We had an amazing time touring Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath. Mark arrived on-time and added historical insights for each location. Our trip included an excellent picnic lunch provided by his wife Diane. It could only have been better without the rain. The next time I travel back to London I will plan another tour with Mark.
Oh you guys were utter stalwarts on the day, especially your Mum. Thank goodness the owner of the cafe there took pity on us and let us eat our picnic in there. I remember the other diners looking up from their mere sandwiches agog, while I handed out the mini champagne and quails eggs. Thanks to your true brit style stiff upper lips we still managed to make a great day of it :)

Fantastic tour with a sparkling guide, Marc was very knowledgeable and kind, he showed us the most interesting spots and told us a lot of interesting facts and anecdotes. I highly recommend him!
What a fantastic day visiting Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. Mark is a great tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He is also a courteous driver and his car is extremely comfortable. I will definitely connect with him again on our next visit to London…and suggest you should also.
Mark took us on an excellent tour of Stonehenge and Bath. He's a courteous and careful driver, in a super comfortable Mercedes. He even checked in with us the day before to make sure we were all prepared. He guided us through the museum at Stonehenge, explaining the history and highlights. After a little lunch at the cafe there, we visited the outdoor exhibit and then we took as much time as we wanted stroll around Stonehenge, grabbing all the photos we needed. After a short drive through the lovely countryside, we visited Bath. First a drive around the city and then we parked and visited the Bath Abbey where we able to listen to the choir prepare for the evensong. Afterwards, we had a nice dinner at a nearby cafe. It was a pleasure meeting Mark and having him guide us through these amazing sites. We highly recommend this private tour.
