Træd ind i den antikke verden af Wessex, mens du begiver dig ud på dit livs historiske rejse. Din venlige chauffør/guide henter dig direkte fra dit hotel om morgenen og holder dig underholdt, når du kommer foran de store busture ved Stonehenge. Lås op for hemmelighederne bag verdens mest berømte stencirkel med din ekspertguide. Om eftermiddagen tager vi dig til den eneste Unesco-verdensarvsby i landet, hvor vi har mulighed for at udforske The Roman Baths Museum; dedikeret til den keltisk-romanske gudinde Sulis Minerva. Du vil derefter have tid til at udforske denne smukke by og spise frokost i byens centrum, før din panoramaudflugt i Bath for at se fantastisk georgisk arkitektur - The Royal Crescent og The Circus. På vej tilbage til London kører vi gennem det engelske landskab, ser bølgende bakker i The Cotswolds og lærer om, hvordan middelalderens uldhandel var det bankende hjerte i Englands økonomi. Om morgenen rejser vi til Stonehenge og ankommer før de store tourgrupper, så oplevelsen er mere mindeværdig og speciel. Vores guider ved alt, hvad der er at vide om Stonehenge, og deres lidenskab vil føje til din samlede oplevelse.
Om eftermiddagen besøger vi det storslåede romerske bademuseum; Det eneste sted i England, hvor man kan se naturlige termiske farvande sammen med et romersk tempel. Byen blev engang kaldet Aqaue Sulis, og deler både romersk og keltisk oprindelse. Dette storslåede museum vil gøre din kæbe dråbe, når du ser, hvor godt holdet 2000 år gamle gulv ser ud i dag. Bortset fra templet tilbyder Bath storslåede butikker og arkitektur fra det 18. århundrede, da det blev helt genopfundet som en spa by. Din guide vil oplyse dig om, hvad der engang var den mest lukrative handel i Europa; Cotswold Uld. Landsbyer som Castle Combe trivedes på uldindustrien og har skabt en perfekt lille landsby med fantastiske vejrhuse og en kirke. Hvis du kan lide vandreture, skal du tale med din guide, og du kan også gå på en offentlig sti for at få en sand oplevelse af landdistrikterne England.
Du har et valg på denne tur til at besøge Castle Combe OR Lacock Abbey. Lacock Village er meget større end Castle Combe og måske ikke så malerisk, men det er et must at se for Harry Potter Fans på udkig efter filmoptagelser af de episke film!

Hvis dit hotel/bolig ligger i East London (E1-postnummer), afhenter vi dig på dit overnatningssted kl. 07:00 eller 07:15. Vi vil derefter afslutte turen på Gloucester Road Underground Station for at maksimere din sightseeing tid på turen, i stedet for at bruge den kørende gennem London. Vi vil kontakte dig efter en booking er foretaget for at aftale en tidligere afgang tid til at sikre, at turen går glat, så du ankommer til Stonehenge i tide :)

Our tour was excellent in every way. Christian was affable, efficient and very knowledgeable. We particularly appreciated the historical perspective he provided. We highly recommend this tour.
Best pick for traveling the British countryside! Our lovely guide Peter Iles made this trip the most enjoyable part of our time in London. His easy manner and deep command of the history of the region made for a very enriching experience. He explains Stonehenge as if a scholar and had an infectious enthusiasm for explaining the theories behind this monument. He made it feel like even though this monument is in Britain, it represents the ancient wisdom that is certainly in all our ancestors pasts. I wish we had more time here to arrange other trips with Peter as our guide!
Peter’s vast and in depth knowledge of the history of the region made for a very enriching experience - I cannot recommend highly enough!

Our guide Christian M. was amazing! So incredibly informed/educated about the area and sites. A lot of fantastic history education mixed with some great "dad" jokes. He went out of his way to be sure we had a fantastic day and part of that was really knowing his stuff and being incredibly organized. Castle Combe is not to be missed!

Absolutely the BEST tour we've ever been on! Oz is not just a tour guide but a friend and great wealth of knowledge! We had two amazing day trips with Oz as our tour guide. He made each tour specific to our likes. We even stopped for coffee on the way to Stonehenge because of that stop he checked the Google Maps and it showed an accident on 303 hwy. Which we took a detour, but the bigger busses always stay on the path despite accidents on the roadways, We got to Stonehenge before everyone else and had it all to ourselves for 15 mins which is unheard of! He walked us through talking about the site and answering all our questions good, bad and the ugly. . Even when we went to Bath he already had an idea we wanted a good steak and ale pie, he had looked it up the night before and suggested The Raven which was one of the best pies and pints we had. I know it seems kinda pricy BUT TRUST ME IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! The one one experience is so worth it! If you were to splurge on a once in a lifetime trip I would pick this company hands down! By the time this ended we were planning another trip via this amazing company. He say's he has people who specialize in different locations. We are now looking to book with them for Wales, S. England and N. England going into Scotland. We also hired Tailored Tours to help us get from our hotel to Fullers Brewery > OVO Wembley for a concert > and Pickup from OVO to our hotel. Richard was our driver that day and what a wonderful man who made our experience so easy. Which we were worried about coming to an unknown country and trying to figure out concert logistics.

We had an amazing private tour with Oz. Super flexible with our time in every location. Very impressed with his history knowledge. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit these locations, tour was a long day but didn’t feel long and was my kids favorite day in London!
