Vor Frue af Libanon-helligdommen beliggende på toppen af Jounieh-bjergene med udsigt over den smukke bybugt. Den antikke by Byblos, det rigeste arkæologiske område i Libanon med rekreative områder, udendørs caféer, fremragende lokale fødevarer og barer. Start din dag med en afhentning fra din adresse i Beirut og gå over til de fortryllende og mystiske Jeitta-grotter, en kort køretur fra Beirut, og du når derefter Harissa med svævebane. Helligdommen "Vor Frue af Libanon" har udsigt over Bybugten. Næste er Byblos eller Jbeil, den ældste beboede fønikiske by i Middelhavet, hvor alfabetet blev født. En gennemsnitlig biltur fra Beirut til Jeita Grottos, hvor du starter dit første besøg ved at tage en svævebane til den øverste hul. En glat tur inde viser, hvor vidunderlig naturen er med alle stalaktitterne og stalagmitterne der stiger her og der danner disse betagende figurer ... På vej ud kan du tage det turistmæssige tog ned til den nederste hul eller bare gå ned i meget få minutter, der nyder Dog River Valley scenerne, indtil du kommer til 2. indgangen. Samme procedure, men denne gang vil kaptajnen møde dig der og invitere dig til en kort tur i en fiskerbåd på sødt koldt vand. Træn eller gå mod vejen ud, hvor din private guide vil vente på dig ved afkørslen.
Byblos by er det fønikiske alfabetes vugge. 22 bogstaver, der fører til det latinske alfabet. Det er her, hvor du kan have en vidunderlig libanesisk frokost, og derefter gå videre til den ældste kystby beboede by i Middelhavet, de gamle souks, butikker, barer og den gamle fønikiske havn.

On this trip we went to Lebanon, Israel and Jordan. We used 3 different tour companies and Dave´s was, by far, the best. We made several trips with them, some just by ourselves, others in a group. The guides were always pleasant and knowledgeable. They took us to, or recommended nice restaurants, good but not terrible expensive and certainly, no "tourist traps". Same things for the stores. They were not rushing us or excessively worrying about the clock. I will certainly recommend them to my friends and use them again, should the opportunity arise.

Lebanon is a really beautiful country, with many sites of interest that are worth visiting, in particular Byblos and Jeita but not only these. I would strongly recommend to contact Dave’s agency, Dave is a high professional and is able to give you a perfect and complete overview of the country and the sites to be visited, other than being a really nice person.

I cannot even begin to explain the love I now have for Lebanon! I have been to over 40 countries and yet I struggle to think of another country that has as much variety and diversity as Lebanon does! Firstly, the people are genuinely wonderful. Not one day passed where I wasn't greeted with a smile, a kind word and offers of help from literally everyone I encountered during my trip. Secondly, the wide range of opportunities for a fun day out in Lebanon is truly amazing. In one day, I explored the ancient sites in Byblos, walked down beautiful, cobbled lanes as I shopped in the souks, strolled along the stunning port, visited a pre-historic cave at Jeita and witnessed awe-inspiring views at Harissa. I selected to travel with Dave Lebanon Tours due to the many outstanding reviews I read and I wasn't disappointed! This has to be the most professional tour company around. My guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and will explain the history of Lebanon in general as well as go in to great detail at each site visited. He was also extremely flexible and very much just wanted me to be happy and enjoy my trip. The cost was extremely reasonable and it was helpful that the entry to all of the sites was included in the price (not all agencies offer this!) - it meant I could just relax and enjoy the day. I loved this tour so much that I booked another trip the next day and have already given Dave Lebanon Tours' details to several friends who also plan on visiting Lebanon in the near future. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the full day tour! All the sights and stops were great places to visit and experience but the Jeita Grotto in particular stands out from the rest, it really is a must see! Dave is an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, relaxed, polite and a great guy all round! He provided a first class experience, answered all our questions, allowed us time to go to the shops at all our stops and was kind enough to recommend, shops, areas and other places to go to and see during the rest of our stay in Beirut.
