Rejs 1 time ud til Terracota Warriors and Horses Museum. Tag en golfvogn fra parkeringsområdet til museets indgang til dit 2,5-timers besøg (på egen regning). Indtast Pit 3, der betragtes som kommandoposten, da den kun indeholder 68 krigere og 1 vogn. Fortsæt til Pit 2, som indeholder 80 vogne plus 1.800 krigere og heste. Besøg Pit 1, hvor 60 armbrøstmænd står og 160 armbrøstemænd sidder på huk i klar position. Gå til Bronze Chariot Exhibition Hall, hvor de tidligste og mest velbevarede bronzevogne i hele Kina er anbragt.
Som symbolet på den gamle linje xian er stor vildgås pagode en velbevaret gammel bygning og et hellig sted for buddhister.
Shaanxi provinsmuseum blev afsluttet og åbnet for offentligheden i juni 1991. Som hovedstad for 13 kejserlige dynastier i kinesisk historie er Xi'an udstyret med rige skatte i både kultur og substans. Takket være det fik Shaanxi History Museum, det første store skalerede moderne nationale museum i Kina, chancen for at bevare et stort antal af de historiske og kulturelle relikvier.
I den alder, hvor byporte var de eneste indgange til en by, var bymure utvivlsomt de afgørende forsvarspunkter, som de feudalistiske herskere fokuserede på. Derfor blev bymure konstrueret nationalt, da kejseren forenede landet. Like visiting any historical sites, an experience and interesting guide makes the difference, and we were fortunate to have Helen.
It was 2012 when we visited the Terracotta first time by ourselves and this year is different with a tour guide. Lots of information and we were lucky to see the founder of the site. A lot more people this time and difficult to enjoy more time as we would like to. The small pagoda was very interesting and well worth to visit with less people AND FREE!
We were really looking forward to seeing the Terracotta Warriors and this private tour didn't disappoint. Thankfully it wasn't full of other tourists so we had an awesome time. Loved the Xi'an City highlights as well and plenty of history was discovered.
This is a must for a China tour. It is awesome in size and spectacle. There is something spiritual about the place as you marvel at the rows upon rows of clay soldiers and the human endeavour and sacrifices made to build and the conceal this mausoleum for it only to be discovered at the bottom of a well in 1974! Truly remarkable The main hanger is heaving and there is quite a crush to get to the front to get a could picture from the front. Not for the feint hearted and tolerated being tall and a bigger build
Sadly there is a reason there are only 2 reviews posted and our review matches the previous one. We had no contact from the company guide right up until the morning we were supposed to leave, in fact we had to get our hotel to call on our behalf as they had not contacted us. The guide was then 20 mins late and when we eventually found him (after the hotel called the company again) he tried to blame us (3 British sitting in a lobby full of Chinese are not hard to spot!) We then set out only to find out all we had paid for was a driver to take us there and back and for him to show us around the museum. Sadly my daughter was more knowledgeable on the history of the warriors so we did feel quite disappointed. We asked him lots of questions which he seemed to deflect and we felt he was really just there to show us where to go from one point to the next. Jerry was a nice guy and was very apologetic about the confusion that we had to buy tickets etc., as extra but at one point he stopped the car and said we could leave if we wanted to. Again a very unprofessional approach. We were shown all the tourist stores for jade, tea etc., and it felt very hard sale and off putting. To be honest, you don’t need to do this trip with a car and driver. You can get a taxi there, buy your tickets and walk around yourself as it’s all very self explanatory and they offer excellent audio guides or booklets. Very easy to get taxis back into the city after and then you can avoid being shuttled around all the shops after and rushed around the warrior pits.
<p>I booked this tour a little bit in a rush so didn't look what was included in the tour. This tour is only the transport and Driver and doesn't include and entrance fees which I thought was. My tour guide Jerry was very apologetic regarding this. It was a pleasant day with a very knowledgeable guide. He really tried to make it as informative and still relaxing as possible. I can strongly recommend him.</p>
<p>My husband and I booked onto this tour during our trip to China. Coffee, our tour guide for the day provided us with a good insight into the history of the Terracotta Army and was very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all our questions throughout the day. Coffee also helped us with ordering our lunch at a local restaurant which was very helpful. Coffee went onto take us to Muslim Street before we were taken back to the airport at an additional cost. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Xi'an.</p>
