Privat tur i bil eller varevogn med en lokal guide for at se Furnas-området. Furnas ligger næsten midt øst på øen Sao mIguel, hvor du kan finde Caldeiras (fumaroles), og et af de rigeste steder i Europa med hensyn til termiske og medicinske vande (22 forskellige kilder). Du kan også finde et af de mest forskelligartede steder med hensyn til vegetation, og nok den smukkeste botaniske have på Azorerne "Parque Terra Nostra Garden" (12,5 hektar), inden for hvilken du finder en varm geotermisk pool (med en temperatur mellem kl. 41 ved 42 grader). Smag på en af Azorernes mest berømte gastronomi, gryderet "Cozido das Furnas". Furnas ligger tæt på den eneste teplantage i Europa (hvor der produceres grøn te og 3 typer sort te).

Our tour guide Cesar was terrific. Unfortunately the weather during our visit was not cooperative. Rainy and so foggy there was no visibility. Cesar immediately offered recommendation for how we might alter our day, including visits to the liquor factory, the pastry factory, the tea factory and the pottery factory. It ended up being one of our favorite days in our 8 day trip. We loved the town of Furnas and couldn't eat enough of the Furnas stew! I so appreciate Cesar's flexibility and proactivity!
Great tour! We felt safe riding around the island. The guide had great information to share and let us choose what we wanted to see or didn’t and for how long. Highly recommend!
Half day tour of the island by our driver Helder was a really great trip. Because of poor weather we could not accomplish the exact tour but Helder gave us a real taste of island life giving much information and answering our questions. This is the second trip we have booked with Gary Trevasso and would recommend this private trip in a clean and comfortable luxury Mercedes saloon. Many thanks.
My husband and I spent 3 days with Cesar from Azorean Tours. They were 3 spectacular days seeing the sites, getting to know the Island and the culture and history and getting to know Cesar. Every day was an adventure and he knew just when to stay back so we could have time together and explore on our own. If you're going to the Azores you must get in touch with Cesar or Gary. Our time on Sao Miguel was memorable because the place is amazing but also because of Cesar. We will be back to spend more time there, see Cesar and enjoy the incredible food at the restaurants Cesar took us too.
Terrific day with GUI as our guide. We were able to taste the food cooked from there… very tasty! We experienced the hot spring pool which was so relaxing. Definitely worth the entrance fee. Gui took us anywhere else we wanted in the area. Thank you for such a great experience!
This was a fantastic tour! Nino was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the thermal springs.

What a great day. Gary is so knowledgeable about the Azores he was able to change the planned route without even knowing! He’s accommodating and full of information having a Canadian background makes him well grounded and modest but super amazing host!

Cesar was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide. We were a party of 8 with 4 adults, 3 teens and a 7 year old. The tour was great for all ages and Cesar catered the trip to exactly what we wanted. We saw the beach, waterfalls, geothermal features, tea farm, numerous scenic spots, local food and the entire tour was fantastic. I felt like we got to see the whole island by the end of our tour. Phenomenal and we will definitely be back.
