We were guided by the wonderful Kertala (Kat) who met us in reception of our hotel. We very quickly decided to add in the Train Market and leave out one of the temples. What a great decision that was. The train market was an experience and Kat’s timings were perfect - saw the train arrive, wandered through the market and the watched the train leave. Next was the floating market where we took a ride in a long tail boat to the market, great fun and interesting to see how the local people live next to the water, We had a stroll round the market and picked up a few souvenirs. Then had lunch, again Kat knew exactly where to go and wow was the food good. Please note the journey to the markets and back to Bangkok is about 90 mins each way. Then we saw two temples The reclining Buddha and the solid gold Buddha in China Town, This was a 10/10 tour and both slat and our driver were faultless.
May is a great guide! She’s packed with knowledge and made our trip very interesting. She also adjusted the trip as we went, based on our preferences, which was very appreciated. This trip was the highlight of our visit to Bangkok. Thanks May!
This is an all day excursion. We were very tired by the end of the day (even napped in the van during transit a little bit), but it was well worth it as we felt like we got to see so many fascinating sites. Our tour guide was fantastic and our driver took good care of us and always made sure we had a cool van with cold waters.
We felt coerced into changing the itinerary by substituting a temple tour for the railway market which we did not enjoy at all!! Ultimately it was our decision to make, but the guide made us feel like the temple tours should not have been our highlight. He basically said all tourists want to do is visit temples. Whilst I understand he was considering the heat and the fact that my mum was elderly, it did not create the best impression from the onset. Our other tours felt very warm, welcoming and enthusiastic whereas with this one, we received the bare minimum. Very sad, as we ended up visiting those temples with another tour which went above and beyond to accommodate us, especially our request to receive a blessing from monks. If you choose this tour, be firm in sticking with the itinerary. I regret not pushing back. Further, the railway market which was substituted offered us nothing. Other tour groups allowed participants to go on the train. Again, we received the bare minimum of standing in a hot market with unpleasant smells just to record the train passing through. It was not worth the itinerary change.
Our guide was prompt and very knowledgeable of the touring area. She was very accommodating to our needs and made very comfortable entire tour. This trip is a must if you are visiting Bangkok and visit other area too but limited times. We only had two days in Bangkok, and this option made the us at ease of touring Bangkok.
We had a fabulous time with Kat, our guide. We were picked up at our hotel and driven in a comfortable van to the floating market. Kat gave us several options for the day which allowed us to see a few places that were not even listed in our tour, like the trian market. She bought us authentic Thai treats along the way, like coconut pancakes and Mongo with sticky rice. We loved the temples and the great information as we went. I highly recommend this tour and the beautiful guide, Kat.
It was a lot more exciting than we first thought. Great time getting to see a little of everything in Thailand. Day went by fast.
Amazing tour. It really made our Bangkok trip. You see a lot in one day; so much so we decided to not see last temple. The restaurant we went for lunch was great as well. I liked that it was a private tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. I highly recommend the tour!
We loved this tour!!! I had an 18 and 15 year old with me and this was by far their favorite tour. Our tour guide, Parichat (SP?) was amazing! She really knew how to interact with my kids and keep things fresh and interesting. Everything from the coconut farm, to the markets, lunch and temples was well organized. Gave us a great view of Bangkok. This is a tour that should be on your must do list.
We had a great time. She was an excellent tour guide. We were met at the hotel on time. She was very knowledgeable about everything Thailand
