We cannot recommend this tour enough. We went with our family and it truly the most magical day that we have ever spent as a family. The boat, the service and especially our captain Francesco was the ultimate host and was so knowledable. We cannot recommend and the amount of things we saw in one day was truly incredible. We saw all of the towns along the almafi coast in one day and were blown away. Thank you for the tour of a lifetime!
This boat day was truly one of the best days on our honeymoon. We absolutely loved our boat captain Luigi. We were able to personalize our itinerary to go to lunch at Lo Scoglio (which had been a bucket list spot for me) but also had time to explore the beautiful amalfi coast and all it has to offer. Getting to jump into the water to swim over to caves, see fish, cliff jump, etc. was a blast. Would reccommend a million times over!! Thank you!
We had absolutely the best time. Captain and skipper were excellent and made sure we got to see everything that we wanted to see. They took their time to explain everything we were seeing and made our experience 100%.
This is a bait and switch operation. We booked through Trip Advisor using the marketing photographs in their advertising as a initial guide on setting our expectations. I included a screen shot of the first page of their listing We provided photographs of the poorly maintained and ancient boat they tried to provide in this review. We had asked many times for pictures of the boat in WhatsApp conversations when we were still able to cancel the trip. Lucia would not send pictures but in a voice conversation indicated that we would be on a modern speedboat. I had asked if it was built in the last few years. Lucia indicated to us it was. The resistance to send real pictures should have been a clear sign. The screen shot from WhatsApp shows we definitely asked about the boat this was three days before the planned trip date. We ended up not going out given our frustration. Especially when speaking to Valeria. She went as far as to call us crazy and tell us to just go out with the captain and be happy. She did of course offer to charge us 500.00 Euro more for a better boat. When we almost agreed she said I’m sorry I have no more boats. We also did some research at the port given we had an entire day to kill. The boat that they attempted to provide would have cost us 600.00 to 750.00 to charter for eight hours. They were charging around 1600.00 for six hours based on our original booking.
Ciao Chris, Thank you for your review. This is Valeria we spoke on the phone, I remember you. Again, I am sorry that you did not like your style of boat. You were booked on one of the leisure boats that goes out every day with one of the best captain & I have only ever had positive feedback about both up until now. The photo that you sent me that morning via text was one of the premium speed boats, a different size (much larger...40ft!), level of luxury (much higher...a speedboat) and pricing category (much more expensive than the 28ft that was booked). If I had availability on the 40ft I would have upgraded you, but I was totally booked up at that point as I told you on the phone. Lucia is my assistant, (I believe the one you yelled at on the phone before me). She is wonderful, immediately tried to see about last minute availability for a 40ft speedboat, but again all booked up at that point, since it was already the morning of the tour when you changed your mind. This 28ft boat that you booked is only available on our agent partner sites, so I am not sure what research you did on the dock, but again, I am sorry that I could not be of more help in this situation! A wonderful day!! We were able to enjoy swimming as well as admiring the beautiful landscapes of the coast. The boat is very comfortable and Ignacio is extraordinary, if you are interested he has lots of anecdotes about the history of the Amalfi Coast. One of the most beautiful days of our stay. I recommend without hesitation.
Let me tell you something: you HAVE to do a tour with these people. The Amalfi Coast is breathtaking, and these guys know what they are doing. They will do whatever your want -- they can take you on one of their standard tours, or they will design a custom tour for you, depending on what you are looking for. We decided to stop in Amalfi to shop, while also stopping in a village along the way to have lunch. At the village, the boat could not dock there, so the restaurant on the shore sent out a motor boat to our tour boat to pick up my wife and me and take us to shore. It was amazing, and the food was fabulous. Twice, we decided to stop the boat and jump into the ocean for a dip. The water was as blue as could be and so clear and warm. When we signed up for a 7-hour trip, we thought it would be too long, but we would not recommend going for less. You are not on the boat for seven hours. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, something we will never forget. Thank you!
We had our day trip with Ignacio! He was amazing!!! For some reason he was advised we were going to Capri (which wasn’t our plan) but he very quickly pivoted and we made plans for our day on the water and created a day we wanted. We had some must do’s and he had some amazing recommendations that made our day a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We had our two teenagers with us and Ignacio was great with them. I would say the group that does the booking was not clear on the pick up process. While the booking group states to connect with them the day before. You really need your “WhatsApp” open and ready the morning of your meeting so the captain can reach you directly and coordinate your pick up at the dock. We were not advised there would be direct contact from the captain so it took a bit of coordination until I was able to get my phone service working on WhatsApp once we were able to connect with the boat captain it was a smooth process.
What a beautiful boat!!!! Marco was the nicest boat captain who drives us to Positano and back… including an awesome stop to Swim!!! He waited while we had lunch and Positano and was right there when we wanted to leave! Drinks Were Provided!
This tour would have been fantastic if we were 20-30 years younger. The description didn’t provide sufficient details of issues that could be expected on a small, open boat tour of the Mediterranean coast by a group of over 70 year old tourists with physical limitations (specifically, back issues). Also, the tour specified it was English speaking, but despite his best efforts, our captain definitely was not speaking English, not even close. Thankfully, Marko, our captain, was very considerate and understanding. He was cooperative in changing the itinerary to prevent the trip from becoming a nightmare for us. As a result of these issues, we didn’t get to see or do elements of the trip that would have made it anywhere near the price charged. The only reason the rating is even average is due to Marko’s help and experience, which was amazing for such a young man.
Fantastic day with a great crew. Docked for 90 mins at Positano. Lunch at a wonderful beach side restaurant and then a swim. Before finally a fast cruise back to Sorrento. The perfect way to see and enjoy the Amalfi Coast. My wife and daughters loved every minute.
