Demokratimonumentet blev startet i 1939 for at fejre revolutionen i 1932, der afsluttede det absolutte monarki og indførte Siams første forfatning.

Giant Swing blev bygget i 1784 foran Devasathan-helligdommen af kong Rama I. Under Rama II's regeringstid blev gyngeceremonien afbrudt, da gyngen var blevet strukturelt beskadiget af lynet. I 1920 blev det renoveret og flyttet til sin nuværende placering for at gøre plads til et gasanlæg. Ceremonien blev igen gennemført indtil 1935, hvor den blev indstillet efter flere dødsulykker.

Our guide, Poppy, was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail. She was always looking after us, making sure we were comfortable and introducing us to the very best of the local cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the nighttime sightseeing tour by tuk-tuk. The highlight of the evening was the breathtaking view of Wat Arun at night from the terrace of Amorosa Restaurant. Thank you, Poppy, for taking such great care of us and making our experience so memorable.
Poppy was a great tour guide! She is so nice and funny! We had a blast during the night tour and we will sure recommend her tok tok tours to anyone who wants to experience Bangkok in a light joyful way !

We had an absolutely brilliant evening with Angie exploring Bangkok on Tuktuk. We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged 13, 11 and 8 and all the kids look back on the tour as a highlight of our holiday, I booked the tour directly with prompt responses. The communication with our guide Angie was very easy via WhatsApp. She was fun, kind, very knowledgeable and an eager photographer which meant we could all just sit back, relax and enjoy ourselves. It was lovely to be sent photos of our experience at the end to look back on. The restaurant was really authentic with amazing food and the flower market was a brilliant experience. Thank you.

Paula was really lovely and very happy to tell you about anything you wanted to know. She went out of her way to make sure we were ok especially as I had difficulty getting in and out of the tut tut as awaiting a hip replacement! We were only in Bangkok for 24 hrs and this was an excellent overview of the city and to experience and see how real Thai people live!

Our tour started on time with guide Katie leading a pack of 5 women in their mid 40s. Katie first took us to the temples and gave brief but interesting information about each stop. She never hesitated to take our photos and even suggested poses and specific spots for the best photos. The highlight of the trip was the flower market! Everything was beautiful, flowers we have seen for the first time were breathtaking. The sight and smell of the bouquets just made it the most memorable part of the tour. Culminating the tour with scrumptious food was icing on the cake. All dishes served were mouth watering. Katie made an excellent choice with the dishes ordered including the fruits and desserts. By the time we were done with the tour; we had fully bellies and happy hearts! Definitely, a must for those who want to mix sight seeing and food tasting😊
