Du afgår fra dit Shanghai-hotel i et behageligt, klimatiseret køretøj til Shanghai Train Station for at få en vidunderlig kugletogoplevelse til Suzhou. Slap af under det naturskønne på vej til Humble Administrator's Garden i Suzhou by.

Fra Humble Administrator's Garden besøger du Pingjiang Road, som er en smuk gammel gade ved siden af kanalen. For some reason I was expecting a group tour like I've had in the past, your and your best friend plus 30 strangers on a bus, one tour guide with a microphone, that sort of thing. I did not realize that for this great price you could get a private tour with your very own tour guide just for our twosome! I also didn't realize it would be so complete, with cars at each interval for just the 3 of us to connect us to the next stop, and lunch would be whatever we wanted to order at a wonderful restaurant--it was nearly a banquet. All this was wonderful but the particularly great part of it was our guide Lin. She kept to English for us (my bestie is bilingual but I don't have a word of Chinese) and not only gave us facts about our tour but steered us toward great shopping opportunities, made sure we were comfortable at every step (it was broiling hot), made great recommendations at our restaurant, and was so incredibly kind and welcoming and conversational, it was like we'd made an instant friend. She was so splendid a person to get to know that I would absolutely ask for her again on any and every tour for which she was available. If you are looking for something one-on-one and to eat great food, get this tour, and if you want a terrific person to be your guide do ask for Lin, she's just amazing!
From Alana (tour coordinator), to the private drivers, to our wonderful tour guide Jane - everyone was so communicative and made sure every part of the trip went smoothly. Travelling with 2 kids, we required alot of patience and stops and they were so accomodating. Next time I’m going on a tour, 5 out 5 going with Viator again!

As a solo traveler, this Suzhou day trip gave me the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and ease. From boarding the bullet train in Shanghai to wandering along ancient canals and through breathtaking classical gardens, every moment felt like a new discovery. My guide, Kimi, was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and wonderful at sharing the stories behind the places we visited. Exploring hidden corners of the city and crossing historic stone bridges felt like stepping into another era. The all-inclusive experience made everything seamless, allowing me to focus on the journey rather than the logistics. Kimi even helped me order lunch and it was excellent. If you're traveling alone and want an unforgettable day beyond Shanghai, I highly recommend this tour.

Simply, a great trip. Our guide, Jane, was very well spoken, kind, polite, and eager to share her knowledge of her country. She handled all of the logistics smoothly from pick up and train rides to every attraction visit to our return home to the hotel. All went ever so smoothly. And, lunch was yummy and plentiful. If you're seeking a stress free and fun excursion to Suzhou, stop looking...you've found it!. Just book it... Also, we've used this tour company multiple times for our Shanghai visits. Were always happy...so happy that they are now our "go to" for any excursion.
this was a fantastic day out.Our guide was Kami a fantastic guide spoke enlish he met us at the hotel entrance car icked us up and away we went. We are both in our 70s but the pace was very good.the bulit train teriffic walking around the gardens our guide told us about the ying and yang the walled city boat trip all great. we stopped for lunch in a very nice Chinese restaurant it was my wife birthday and i had spoke to the lady who organised the trip for us regarding a dirthday cake well my wife had no idea and suprised to get the cake.Rickshaw ride was great and everything about the whole day was magical highly recomend.
My guide, KIMI has an excellent command of English along side with a wealth of knowledge in Chinese history. His timing schedule for the respective visits to the beautiful gardens were perfect. We covered pretty much in accordance of the planned itinerary. My visit to the lotus garden at Zhuozhengyuan was the highlight of my day trip in Suzhou. The entire ambience was breathtaking! Enjoyed it to the fullest.
