Vores halvdag starter på Pico Dos Barcelos synspunkt, en meget flot udsigt over hele Funchal, hvor vi kan se forskellige steder i byen og få et fantastisk syn på dejlige billeder. Vi fortsætter i retning mod en af de største turistattraktioner på Madeira, Eira do Serrado i en højde af 1053 m, hvor vi kan nyde den storslåede udsigt over Nuns Valley, som engang var tilflugtssted for nonnerne af klosteret Santa Clara under invasionen af franske privatefolk til øen. Under vores tur stopper vi i nogle synspunkter for at se Socorrido Stream og fortælle historien om Old Madeira med nogle smalle gamle veje bygget på bjergene.

A wonderful afternoon of amazing scenery and plenty of information provided by our driver Marco who provided a very informative commentary throughout our trip. He was very flexible and met our need to take things slowly. Private tours mean you can see much more and move at your own pace.

We made a great tour in Funchal. Our guide Duarte took us through the island on a wonderful tour, with stops at points with spectacular views, a lot of history about these places and culture, in addition to presenting us with the local flavors; fruit and wooden wines, crowning all this with his sympathy and cordiality, a true and passionate Madeiranese.
