Took day trip from Taormina to Etna stopping in some villages and Gambino vineyard. Alessandro our driver was great. He was able to guide us to interesting places to see, explain the local history and was good company.

In 2019, I fell in love with Sicily. At the end of a wonderful stay near Syracuse, I was treated to a tasting on my birthday on the vineyard of Gambino, on the flanks of Mount Etna. We were warmly and hospitably welcomed with wine and snacks and were allowed to enjoy all the delicacies they made themselves there. Especially the wines, the Tifeo, both the white and the red, are among the best things Sicily has to offer. Every year I therefore like to order a box of wines from hostess Andrea, which are sent without problems and for a reasonable price. As soon as we open a bottle we imagine ourselves on the slopes of Mount Etna again and I long for the beautiful Sicily! Grazia Gambino!!

Our guide Alessandro is very knowledgeable,helpful and kind. We had a variety of local wines and food at Gambino vin yard. This tour was absolutely our highlight of this trip.

Tour of Mt. Etna, Cathedral, stops along the way, and especially the Gambino winery made for an absolutely memorable day! Really spectacular! Also our driver, Alessandro, was wonderful and very informative!! Don’t miss this tour and definitely request Alessandro!! Just amazing!
