Din guide møder dig i centrum af Podgorica - Trg Nezavisnosti - uafhængighedspladsen (tidligere republikkens plads) ved springvandet. I tilfælde af regn placeres guiden af Podgoricka Bank under tagskægget omkring pladsen.
Vi starter mod monumentet af Marko Miljanov og Bokeska-gaden, stopper ved Nationalteatret og fortsætter mod statuen af Petar II Petrovic Njegos, en berømt prinsbiskop, forfatter og filosof, der ligger i parken overfor teatret.
Vi fortsætter turen via en af broerne over Moraca-floden, der løber gennem Podgorica, og vil se Millenium Bridge, en af Podgoricas vartegn.
Vi passerer monumentet til Vladimir Vysotsky, en russisk digter, sanger og sangskriver, der boede i Podgorica et stykke tid.
Vi krydser floden Moraca igen ved Blazo Jovanovic Bridge og fortsætter mod Sastavci (eller Skaline) ved sammenløbet af floderne Ribnica og Moraca.
Sastavci eller Skaline er et meget malerisk sted, men ganske vist uden pleje. Over sammenløbet står knap synlige ruiner af fæstningen Ribnica. Disse er kendt som Nemanjin grad, da det var her, at Stefan Nemanja, der efterfølgende grundlagde Nemanjic-dynastiet, blev født. Vi krydser en gammel malerisk stenbro på vej til Stara Varos, det ældste bevarede kvarter i Podgorica, der går tilbage til det osmanniske styre.
På Stara Varos stopper vi kort ved Starodoganjska-moskeen, som blev bygget i det 15. århundrede og i lang tid vedligeholdt af de handlende fra de nærliggende butikker.
Sahat Kula (Clock Tower) er et af de vigtige seværdigheder i Podgorica. Det står ved kanten af Stara Varos og vender ud mod de socialistiske boligblokke på tværs af gaden. Bygget i det 18. århundrede af Adzi Pasha Osmanagic.
Beliggende på hjørnet af Njegoseva-gaden portrætterer den berømte russiske digter Pushkin, der læser poesi for sin kone Natalija Gonchareva. Efter et kort fotostop ved dette monument vender vi tilbage til Independence Square.

This tour was superb and complete for the city of podgorica. We discovered a lot of information about the city. We were lucky because the Guide spoke French. I highly recommend it.

Ana was a phenomenal guide and I learned quite a bit on this enjoyable walking tour. The meeting point was clearly communicated and Ana held a sign, so it was easy to locate her at the start of the tour. The tour route included several different parts of town and gave a fairly comprehensive overview of the city's history and culture. Ana was very knowledgeable and gladly answered my many questions. I also had many opportunities to take photos and we even had a chance to stop to taste rakija along the way. At the end of the tour, Ana provided several helpful recommendations for places to eat and other sites nearby I might want to visit. I would highly recommend this tour.

Really enjoyable the guide Peta spoke french and english was able to show me around and explain the history of Podgorica and even helped me with practical information. I highly recomend this tour it was wonderful

We were not impressed with Podgorica as a town until Ana Zaric helped us appreciate Podgorica's buildings and history. She is an excellent guide with perfect English and we valued her local perspective. We would very much recommend this visit, even in the rain.

A swift walk around the old & new streets of Podgorica, with details of the history of Montenegro. It was very easy to talk to the man with the great beard - Slavko, he was great company, very knowledgeable. Tour ended at local restaurant ‘Lanterna’ where I tried out some local dishes.

We scheduled a private tour, as we came to Podgorica in the late afternoon hours, just checked in and rushed to the main square to meet our guide. Our friends told us not to expect much from Montenegro's capital. But this was a great way to get to know Podgorica! Ana, our guide was not only knowledgeable, but she also has a great personality and a huge sense of humor. It was hot, way too hot for September, we were told that Podgorica can be a frying pan in the summer. The tour explained many things from Podgorica's history and current life, but the real treat was to talk to Ana about her town, people, customs, religion, old ways and new ways... It was a two hours walking experience, as we had to stop and rest because of my cousin, and we had to sit and rest before continuing. At the end of the tour, we asked about nightlife, pubs, places to eat – and got a recommendation for the pub with craft beer, best traditional restaurants, and exquisite contemporary restaurant. The only regret – we found about the agency and Ana at the very end of our stay.
