Forbered dig på den mest omfattende WWII historie tur til rådighed fra Wien. På én monumental dag forbinder vi det Tredje Riges to yderste: den brutale virkelighed i Mauthausens koncentrationslejr og magtens store symbol, Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus). Dette er en lang dag (ca. 12-13 timer), men vi har designet det til din komfort. Du rejser med et personligt team: En professionel chauffør sikrer en sikker og glat rejse, mens din historiker guide afsætter tiden til at forklare den komplekse historie af æraen. Fra stenbrudets dybder til Alpernes toppe, vil du se det hele. Oplev den surrealistiske stigning gennem marmor tunnelen og den berømte messingelevator, der stiger 124 meter gennem klippen. Stående på toppen skaber kontrasten mellem lejrets kolde granit og det luksuriøse alpine panorama en kraftfuld fortælling om regimets dualitet. Mens vi kører vest, din guide præsenterer den historiske kontekst af den nazistiske annektering af Østrig.
Vi konfronterer historiens mørke side først. Når man går gennem mindesmærket, kaserne og stenbruddet, er man vidne til regimets maskineri. Det er en nydelig begyndelse, der begrunder resten af dagen i virkeligheden.
Vi kører mod den tyske grænse. Landskabet skifter fra rullende bakker til dramatiske alpine toppe. Dette er det perfekte tidspunkt at dekomprimere, drikke vand og lytte til historier om myten om "Alpine Fortress".
Vi ankommer til Obersalzberg og tager den særlige messing elevator op til toppen. Udsigten: På 1,834 meter står du, hvor beslutningerne blev truffet, med udsigt over Østrig og Tyskland. Lunch på toppen: Vi reserverer tid til frokost i restauranten inde i den tidligere konferencelokale. Nyd traditionel bayersk mad med en betagende panoramaudsigt. (Lunchen er ikke inkluderet). Historien: Se den pejs præsenteret af Mussolini og diskutere propaganda værdien af denne tilbagetrækning. Udsigten fra Eagle's Nest afhænger af vejret. Tag en varm jakke selv om sommeren, da det kan være blæsende på toppen.

This is a wonderful tour. Both stops on this tour were interesting and worth going to. Jenny is an excellent tour guide, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The drive through the Austrian Alps was beautiful.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. She was well prepared with maps and images to show us while we were traveling. Our driver was excellent as well. He made us feel safe on the autobahn and the vehicle was very comfortable. They modified the tour so that we could experience Schloss Altstaetter, as we had just seen the Mauthausen earlier. And our guide took lots of pictures of us as well.

An amazing tour from start to finish and its not only due to the tour destination which is a must do for all history enthusiasts but because of our tour guide(s) jenny and vladymir . Jenny was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very obliging in sharing her vast knowledge of austrian history and of course the sites of our tours as well. In fact both went above and beyond and shared other attractions and connected us to other events of note happening in and around Vienna itself. Her photos she shared of the harrowing events that happened at mauthausen were extremely interesting and at the eagles nest of easy company mortarman bradford freeman returning to eagles nest after so many decades were enlightening to say the least . I cannot recommend this trip enough. Jenny is an amazing guide! On the ride from Vienna to Mauthausen, Jenny provided us with an informative history of Austria. Her knowledge of Mauthausen and its history was amazing. It was such an emotional visit - but something that was such a huge part of world history. Then it was off to the Eagle’s Nest. She provided more historical facts about the region on our ride there. We had a cloudy day - the peak was actually in the clouds. But it was still stunning! We had a nice lunch and plenty of time to walk around and read about its history. On the long ride back to Vienna, Jenny set up a movie for us to watch in the car. A nice touch! Driving was comfortable and water provided. I would do another of Jenny’s tours in a heartbeat! If you’re looking for a great, friendly tour - book with Jenny and Cozy Travel! the places are worthwhile to visit. however, I will invert the tour. first the eagle nest and then Maunthausen (more time will need here, this is a personal view). the guide knows, but will be advisable to provide some type of brochure and/or high level summary of what will be visited.

We understand your suggestion of reversing the order of the locations, but due to operational constraints and Mauthausen's early closing time, this isn't feasible. During your tour, a road accident caused us to arrive late at Mauthausen, shortening the visit there. In the future, we aim to allow more time at Mauthausen and will consider your idea of providing brochures or summaries of the places visited.
