Sintra er blevet en populær destination i de sidste par år, men nogle steder er blevet overset. Ideen med denne tur er at tage dig til frodige steder, hvor selv i højsæsonen behøver du ikke tilbringe tid i rækker. Du får mulighed for at besøge et slot og et palads samt udforske lidt af kysten i Sintra, hvor der er flere dejlige restauranter, der serverer frisk fisk og skaldyr. Derudover får du en officiel lokal guide hele dagen med dig, der er flydende på engelsk, spansk og portugisisk.

Vi besøger den historiske Mourish Castle på toppen af en af Sintra bakker, hvor på en klar dag kan du have fantastisk udsigt over byen og se så langt ud mod Atlanterhavet og endda forbi Lissabon.
Her vil vi undre os gennem den smukke lille historiske by Sintra, hvor engang konger og dronninger boede på det nationale palads i Sintra med udsigt over byen.
Nyd et af de mindre besøgte paladser i Sintra, beliggende i udkanten af byen Sintra, skjult i bakkerne og naturen, hvor du virkelig kan opleve, hvorfor Sintra blev betragtet som romantikkens hovedstad i det 19. århundrede. Et dejligt privat palads bygget i midten af det 19. århundrede med en blanding af indisk og arabisk arkitektur.
Vi afslutter dagen med et malerisk sidste stop på det mest vestlige punkt i Europa - Cabo da Roca. Beliggende 140 meter over havets overflade, hvor bølgerne kolliderer i bunden af klipperne. Det var det sidste sted, de portugisiske navigatører så, før de gik ind i Atlanterhavet på deres rejser.

- En del af tiden i løbet af turen bruges på rejsetid. Hvis du er baseret i Lissabon, vil det tage omkring en time at komme til Mourish Castle. Derfra til det historiske centrum er normalt en kort 5-10 minutters kørsel, medmindre der er trafik. Fra det historiske centrum til Monserrate Palace er det cirka 15 minutters kørsel. Fra Monserrate Palace til Cabo da Roca er cirka 20 minutter. Og fra Cabo da Roca tilbage til Lissabon kan tage omkring en time.

Bernardo went above and beyond for me and my 79 year-old auntie! I specifically chose his tour due to the chill-nature of the experience. We were able to tailor the tour to match ability levels. Bernardo communicated days before the tour to let me know about slight changes to the exterior of Montserrate, so we were able to make an informed decision about one of the coolest stops of the tour. He was super understanding and flexible when it came to making on- the- fly changes to suit the energy needs of my auntie. I also learned so much during my tour with Bernardo. He gave in-depth history with deep knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. I know I'll be back to visit portugal and I know that I'll book another tour with Bernardo.
We had an exceptional experience exploring Sintra with Bernardo. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy the day. What stood out most was Bernardo’s deep knowledge of the history, culture, and hidden gems of Portugal. In Sintra, we were able to experience the magic of the palaces and landscapes without feeling rushed or overwhelmed, while in Lisbon, thanks to Bernardo’s tips (after the tour) we discovered charming neighborhoods and viewpoints we would never have found on our own. The guide was professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive to our interests, adapting the tour to match our pace and preferences. It felt more like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend than being on a typical tour. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to make the most of their visit. It truly made our trip unforgettable.

Bernardo was a fantastic and very knowledgeable tour guide. We had the best time exploring Sintra’s amazing castles and the surrounding area. I highly recommend booking a tour with Bernardo, you won’t be disappointed.
A friend recommended Bernardo to us and we actually booked him two days in a row. Having a private tour guide was a big advantage as we could tailor our day as we wished. The day in Sintra was so magical. It was like a fairytale town come alive. Unfortunately, the Pena Palace was closed due to weather so we spent the majority of our time at Quinta da Regaleira castle and I am glad we did. The imagination of the owner to build such an elaborate grounds, gardens, tunnels and the piasta resistance, the initiation well was spectacular. Now I need to read Dante’s inferno…iykyk. Highly recommend Bernardo, very professional and knowledgeable.
Booked up a chilled Sintra day trip with Bernardo and had a great experience with his excellent knowledge of the area, and the way he made everything so easy and relaxed for us!
