Hvis du vil nyde en privat og mere intim oplevelse, er dette dit bedste valg. Denne tur er lavet til dem, der gerne vil gå sammen med en guide og have et mere personligt eventyr i disse smukke huler. Vores rejse starter ved den storslåede Carvalho strand. En lille strand totalt omgivet og beskyttet af sine kalkstensklipper, hvor adgangen er gennem en tunnel. Derfra vil vi vise dig de mest betagende huler, "algarer" og naturlige formationer, altid med en af vores guider, der fører an, og sørger for, at alle er trygge og har det sjovest. Varigheden af vores ekspedition er ca. 2 timer og 30 minutter, hvor vi skal have tid til at hvile/fotografere ved den mest berømte grotte i Portugal, "Algar" i Benagil. Derudover vil vi komme væk fra den typiske forvirring i højsæsonen ved at køre en rute, der er meget roligere, og de fleste mennesker ikke kender til.

Our group had a fantastic time on our tour! We loved the beauty of the caves and it was great to have all of it captured in photos. Bruno was knowledgeable and entertaining- while making sure we all felt safe. The only recommendation I would give to anyone wanting to do the tour is to make sure you find out the exact name of the tour company so you know who you are looking for at the meeting point. Additionally, if you are navigating with GPS, make sure you input the complete address. Otherwise you may have trouble locating.
We recently did the kayak tour to the Benagil Cave on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, and overall had a good experience, with a few areas that could be improved. On the positive side, the equipment was good quality and felt safe and well-maintained. The kayaking route itself is absolutely stunning — the coastline around Benagil is incredible, and getting to explore the caves and hidden beaches from the water was a real highlight. The location alone makes this experience worthwhile. However, there were several downsides. There was only one guide managing around seven canoes, which at times felt stretched, and it didn’t feel like the guide had full control of the group. At one point, a couple decided not to continue and turned back, but the guide didn’t realise until another member of the group pointed it out, which was concerning. He then had to go back to assist them, leaving the rest of the group waiting without any safety cover and interrupting the flow of the tour. The guide’s commentary was also quite difficult to hear at times, especially when spread out on the water, so it felt like we may have missed some of the information. Additionally, while photos were included as part of the package, the quality was disappointing — many were blurry and didn’t capture the experience well. Had we known this, we would have taken our own camera. Overall, a beautiful setting and enjoyable activity, but improvements in group management, communication, and photo quality would make it a much better experience.

Regarding the group management, we would like to clarify that our policy is a maximum of six kayaks per guide. Our tours are intentionally operated with small groups to ensure safety, comfort, and close supervision throughout the experience. It is also important to note that, from time to time, a guest may decide to return to the beach before the end of the tour. In those situations, the guide will always assist that kayak and ensure that everyone remains safe. While this may temporarily alter the flow of the tour, all guests remain under supervision and safety is never compromised. If at any point it appeared that the guide’s attention was focused elsewhere, it was because he was assisting guests who had decided to return, while still maintaining control of the overall group. Regarding communication and photo quality, the conditions on that particular day were significantly rougher than usual, with more wind and wave activity than we typically experience. Naturally, these conditions can make both communication on the water and photography more challenging. We will nevertheless share your feedback with our guides, as providing clear information and high-quality photos remains a very important part of the experience we aim to deliver. We had an amazing kayaking experience! The guys running it are very charismatic, friendly, and genuinely care about everyone in the group. They guide you through the whole experience, clearly explaining what we will do and what to expect along the way. They stay with the group the entire time, making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. They really listen to each person and take everyone’s needs into account, which made the trip feel very personal and well organized. The starting point is beautiful, with a very nice entrance to the beach that immediately sets the mood for the adventure. During the trip we saw incredibly beautiful places and impressive cliffs. The scenery is stunning and the whole journey feels special from start to finish. This kayaking trip is absolutely worth the money and the time. Highly recommended!
Our sunrise kayak tour with Egas was amazing. You start on the most beautiful beach and kayak along the caveline, learning about the geology and history. Egas was so knowledgeable and patient with us when my husband was feeling sea sick. It was such a great experience!
