Luxor med fly er hurtigt ved at blive lige så populær som Cairo. En af hovedårsagerne til dens popularitet er, at mange turister ikke besøger Luxor så meget som Cairo, så du kan garantere, at turen er mere afslappet uden den travlhed, der finder sted, især når man besøger Cairo, og lufthavnen er bestemt ikke så hektisk. det er en af de rejser, som vi ikke kan anbefale stærkt nok. Luxor er en by i det øvre (sydlige) Egypten og hovedstaden i Luxor Governorate. Som stedet for den gamle egyptiske by Theben (den store hovedstad i Egypten under Det Nye Kongerige), er Luxor ofte blevet karakteriseret som "verdens største friluftsmuseum", da ruinerne af tempelkomplekserne ved Karnak og Luxor står inden for den moderne by. Umiddelbart overfor, på den anden side af Nilen, ligger monumenterne, templerne og gravene på Necropolis på Vestbredden, som omfatter Kongernes Dal og Dronningernes Dal. Tusindvis af internationale turister ankommer årligt for at besøge disse monumenter.

Kongernes Dal: Da Luxor var Egyptens hovedstad, valgte kongerne denne dal til at være deres gravsted skjult blandt bakkerne. Den indeholder mere end 62 grave skåret af kongerne fra det 18., 19. og 20. dynasti. Kongernes Dal fik sin berømmelse fra opdagelsen af den gyldne konge Tut Ankh Amons grav. Endelig skal du få en oplevelse for lokalbefolkningens livsstil på Vestbredden, og du vil også få chancen for at kende nogle af deres håndværk. Så snart du er færdig med dit besøg på Vestbredden, kører du til Østbredden, hvor du tager din frokost og holder en pause for at være klar til anden del af turen.
Templet i El Deir - Elbahri (dronningen Hatshepsuts tempel): Dette tempel er et af de smukkeste templer vi har i Egypten. Det var blevet skåret ind i bjerget og blev bygget af dronningen Hatshepsut (den stærke kvinde, der regerede Egypten i det 15. århundrede f.v.t.). Det blev brugt som hendes lighustempel.
The Colossi of Memmon: The Colossi of Memmon er to enorme statuer. De er de eneste tilbageværende stående statuer foran Imonhotep III's lighustemplet. Østbredden: Karnak-templerne: Komplekset af Karnak-templer er det næststørste religiøse kompleks i hele verden!!!! Det har den største hypostyle-hal (søjlehal bygget af kongen Ramses II) i verden med 134 søjler. Det blev bygget af forskellige generationer af faraoerne. I den vil du se den højeste obelisk (Hatshepsuts obelisk) i Egypten. I slutningen af din tur, vil du gå til Luxor lufthavn for at flyve tilbage til Sharm el-Sheikh, og ved din ankomst vil du finde vores rep. venter på, at du giver dig et lift til dit hotel lige i tide til at fange de sidste ordrer til middag.

They canceled my flight a few hours before. The refund will take place in 5 business days and therefore I have to pay an even higher amount upfront, given the proximity of the dates, for the next available date. Money spent on the visa (the 5 of us paid 150 euros). Excursions missed for the day of the new schedule and significant inconvenience. Never again with them!
We took the private tour (just a little more expensive) and our Ahmed and our driver Hammad were great. We got to plan the itinerary for the entire day and spend as long or as little at each location as we liked. There were no surprise charges (you do need to pay some nentry fees) and we were not forced to visit local factories etc. Knowledgabel guide and plenty for water supplied, air condicrtioned vehicle. Was great day for the kids. Our best day in Eygpt.

We experienced a full day private tour to Luxor by plane. We were picked up at our hotel promptly in a very clean and nice car. The transitions between teams at different check points were smooth. The experience was relaxing and rich in cultural experiences. Ahmed the tour guide made sure we were taken care of and accommodated our asks professionally. Essam the driver was very nice and drove very safe. I would highly recommend the tour experience to anyone from Sharm that wants a day excursion to experience the cultural aspects of Egypt.

We had a wonderful day on our private tour to Luxor. Ahmed our guide, and our drivers Mohammed and Mustafa (in Sharm and Luxor) were all lovely and everything ran extremely efficiently. Ahmed was great and tailor- made the trip for us brilliantly- ao we visited the tombs of Ramses V/V1, Seti and Tutankhamen - which were all well worth visiting, as well as a short boat trip on the Nile. We ended the day at Karnak temple which was spectacular, and then Luxor temple which was beautiful illuminated at night. A truly memorable end to a magic day. Thank you all!

During our trip to Sharm El Sheikh, we purchased a one-day tour to visit Luxor. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was extremely friendly, talkative, hospitable, and gentlemanly. He shared his extensive knowledge of Egyptian history with us in fluent English. When we wanted to extend the tour we had purchased, he offered us several alternative options. The tour was very comfortable, and the vehicle was also quite comfortable. He also took us to the airport exactly at the time we requested. We are planning to come here again and are already looking forward to traveling with him once more.

What a fantastic day . Fr pick up at 4am to flight at 6am , then meeting our fantastic guide Ahmed I juts can’t fault a thing about the day. Being a couple , we opted for the private tour so got a driver ( very good ) and guide in a new SUV , very luxurious. We visited the valley of the kings first to miss the rush and it was amazing. Lots of steps as you can expect but very compact area wise. Then off to two more sites and lunch on the Nile. As we were rattling round our itinerary Ahmed suggested we could fit in more sites for a very reasonable £70 extra each and we agreed. Truly awesome day with Luxor almost completed but we will be back. Oh and the pit stop on the way back to the airport where Ahmed bought us drinks and Snack for the departure lounge to save paying airport prices was a lovely touch. 100% recommend and ask for Ahmed on your booking , if when we come back - we will be.

This trip is only worth it if you are completely desperate to see the sites in luxor . If you have time and money shop around as this experience ,we felt was a complete money grabbing operation. None of the sites entry tickets where in included in the price so the whole day you are paying EXTRA money ontop of what you already paid . Everyone who greets or you or marginally interacts with you wants high tips and treats you coldly and with disdain if you don't pay enough . There where 2 waste of time excursions to spice and pottery shops where the staff are shouting at you and almost forcing you to buy things and incredibly pushy and rude. The lunch was a minimum option buffet that made us both feel sick after. We where also dropped off at the airport 4 hours before our flight ! This time could have been spent at other sites or added to the sites we seen. It was all very rushed and hardly anytime at the sites. Of course we Loved the sites themselves ancient Egyptians are amazing modern ones not so much . Disappointed to be very honest .
My sister and I had such an amazing experience with Hamdy. His knowledge on the history of Egypt is amazing. Very extensive and interesting. I would highly recommend this private excursion with him because he allows you to tailor your experience to how you would like to spend the day. We’re so glad we got to see as much as we did. A huge thank you to him!!!
