Din tur i Sri Lanka ville være ufuldstændig uden en kulturel tur til Sigiriya Sri Lanka. Sigiriya har en omfattende historie, der strækker sig tilbage til omkring 477 e.Kr. I henhold til gamle aflæsninger af Culavamsa blev det gamle klippecitadel Sigiriya udvalgt af kong Kashyapa til at etablere sin nye hovedstad. Det var en almindelig klippe, han valgte til at bygge sit kongelige palads, og derefter forvandlet til en forbløffende konstruktion. Selv i dag forbliver planlægningen bag denne gamle arkitektur uafsløret og holder os fascinerede. Kongen byggede sit palads på denne 200 meter høje søjleklippe og prydede overfladerne med livlige fresker. Indgangen formet som en løve giver den navnet Sinhagiri, også kendt som Sigiriya. I dag er det stadig en af de mest besøgte turistattraktioner og verdensarvssteder i Sri Lanka. Det tog 5 timer at gå til Sigiriya-stedet.
Dambulla og Sigiriya er de bedste naboer. Det er det næste tæt ved sted at besøge efter en kulturel tur til Sigiriya Sri Lanka. Huletempelkomplekset Dambulla, Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium og Ibbankatuwa forhistoriske gravsted er de største seværdigheder i Dambulla. Dambullas højdepunkter fortsætter til Sydasiens største rosenkvartsbjergserie og største jerntræskov såkaldt Na Uyana Aranya. Det tog 4 timer at vende tilbage til hotellet.
