En fantastisk måde at besøge et nyt land (Montenegro) fra Dubrovnik på denne private tur og være tilbage i Kroatien sent på eftermiddagen samme dag. Vi stopper ved det fantastiske Verige-udsigtspunkt midt i Kotor-bugten og tager dig rundt i de smukke barokke paladser i Perast. Senere vil du nyde arkitekturen og de charmerende pladser og caféer i den gamle bydel i Kotor, klatre op til Trojica Hill for panoramaudsigt over bugten og ende i byen Tivat/Porto Montenegro for afslappet spadseretur og frokost, før du går tilbage til Kroatien . Vi stopper ved Verige, den smalleste del af havpassagen mellem indre og ydre del af Kotor-bugten. Fantastiske fotomuligheder af den indre del af Kotor-bugten, stejle bjerge, der går ned i havet, byerne Risan og Perast med sejlbåde og et lejlighedsvist krydstogtskib, der passerer gennem sundet.
Perast er en lille middelalderby med kun 160 indbyggere, beliggende mellem det lodrette bjerg og Kotor-bugten. Under vores stop i Perast får gæsterne mulighed for at forundre de barokke kaptajnernes paladser og talrige kirker med Saint Nicolas's Cathedral og dens klokketårn - det højeste i hele Kotor Bay. Foran byen ligger 2 øer - Our Lady of the Rocks og Saint George Island. Our Lady of the Rocks er en menneskeskabt ø i 17.ct med en smuk barquekirke og museum og kan besøges på en kort privat bådtur fra Perast.
Ved ankomst til Kotor, der engang var en selvstændig bystat, og fra 14.ct under venetiansk indflydelse, vil du have tid til at udforske dens smalle gader, solrige pladser og kirker efterfulgt af tid til frokost (valgfrit). Vi foreslår at gå ind i den romanske katedral Saint Triphon, Maritime Museum of Kotor og Saint Nicolas serbisk ortodokse kirke. Mulig klatre til Saint John's Fort over byen Kotor (750 fods højde). Din guide vil forklare dig alle de vigtige steder på forhånd og give dig det gratis kort over byen for at udforske den på egen hånd.
Trojica Hill Pass ligger mellem Kotor og Grbalj. Vi laver 2 panoramafotostop. Et stop ville være lige før passet, så gæsterne kan nyde udsigten over den indre del af bugten med Kotor gemt i bunden af den. Det andet fotostop er lige efter passet med fantastisk udsigt over den ydre Kotor-bugt, Flower Island og byen Tivat, dens lufthavn og marina.
Byen Tivat plejede at være en militær flådebase for den jugoslaviske nationale flåde, men den gennemgik en turismefornyelse i begyndelsen af 2000'erne, hvor flådebasen var blevet omdannet til luksus-megayacht-marina og hotel/resortsby, der støder op til den historiske by Tivat. Gå en tur gennem dens travle solrige promenade og spis en snack eller frokost i en af Porto Montenegos mange stilfulde restauranter eller Tivat-byens mere traditionelle restauranter.
Under en kort 15 minutters færgetur på tværs af den smalle del af Kotor-bugten kan gæsterne gå ud af køretøjet og tage fantastiske billeder af bugten, St. Archangel Church og små landsbyer Lepetane og Kamenari.

We enjoyed our trip to Montenegro. Our guide Baldo Stanos was great, we especially liked how he brought the recent history of the region to life from his personal lens. In Montenegro, Our Lady of the Rocks is a great location with an interesting story. The ancient city of Kotor is nice but was crowded given a couple of cruise ships were docked in the bay right outside its walls. The region is beautiful, and we really enjoyed learning more about it.

As a group of six ladies from Haiti, we were looking for an unforgettable experience, and he delivered beyond our expectations. His humor and vibrant personality set the perfect vibe right from the start, making the entire day enjoyable and fun. He was not only extremely funny but also incredibly knowledgeable. With each stop on the tour, he shared fascinating insights and stories that really brought the scenery to life. His passion for Montenegro's culture and history shone through, making us feel connected to the beauty around us. What really stood out was his helpfulness—he was always there to answer our questions, offer great tips for local spots, and even helped us find the best angles for our photos! We had been traveling in Greece and Croatia for one month. Clearly, the highlight of our trip was our tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro with our guide Miho. The day started early, but flew by with his informative presentations throughout the day as well as his humorous stories. If there was a rating above five stars, we would assign it to him. This is a must do tour. We cannot thank him and Doria enough for our amazing day!

We took a lovely daytrip to Montenegro. There was some confusion, after confirmation and payment (I think the driver was sick), but the company was able to accommodate us if we were willing to move the trip by a day. Our driver, Meta, was very knowledgeable and eager to share his information during the drive. Meta stayed in the car at each stop, which was fine with us. But if you are looking for a guide to walk with you, this is not the company to use. It was a wonderful informative day and the price was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. However, we did not stop at 2 of the photo op locations listed on their website (Verige and Mt Vrmac).

A fun day full of activities. First , our driver Miho drove us to Kotor. He showed us sights along the way and educated us about the history of Croatia and Montenegro. He was really outstanding. Then we explored the old city. Our guide was informative and friendly. On the way back we stopped at the vineyard with an unimaginable view. We chose not to go to the church on the island because it was too crowded. Highly recommended!

Miho was a great tour guide. He had a lot of knowledge about where we were going and also told us a lot about his life and his family which helped us understand the culture of Croatia even better. We recommend him highly and without reservation. BTW, he has a great sense of humor🤣 we laughed a lot!

On paper it sounds like a wonderful day - but in reality it is 4-5 hours of driving in terrible congested road conditions with slow and incompetent crossings at the Montenegro border. Our driver, Mladen, did his best, was informative and friendly, and it was not fault that the day was ruined by the travel and the horrendous crowds once reaching our main destination, Kotor. Two huge cruise ships had reached port, so Old Kotor was overrrun. Awful experience. The couple of highlights were our time on The Lady of the Rocks, which we got to with few people, before other tourists started coming; and the viewpoint of Kotor Bay. Montenegro’s infrastructure and road quality was completely inadequate for the needs of the country.

We are very pleased to hear that Mladen, your driver and guide, was informative, friendly, and professional throughout the day. His commitment to our guests is something we are consistently proud of. We do, however, want to respectfully clarify that many of the challenges you encountered including traffic congestion, long delays at the Montenegro border, and unexpected crowd levels due to cruise ship arrivals, are unfortunately beyond our company’s control. These are regional issues that even the most carefully planned itineraries cannot avoid, particularly during high tourist season. While we monitor these conditions closely and do our best to adjust where possible, road infrastructure and border operations in Montenegro are managed by government authorities, and local conditions can change rapidly and without notice. Same applies for the cruise ship arrivals that can also change at the last minute. That said, we are glad to hear you found value in the peaceful experience at Our Lady of the Rocks and the stunning views over Kotor Bay. We share your frustration when elements outside our control affect our guests’ experience, but as mentioned, this is something we are not able to have an influence on, despite our best planning and preparation.
