The Discover Sumatra Team did an amazing job! The jungle tour was great fun, we saw Orang Utans and many other animals. The guides were super experienced and incredibly friendly. The food was also very good. Special thanks to Christine, she did everything she could, to make the trip perfect. I highly recommond booking with them.

I stayed 3days 2nights at Jungle with Discover Sumatra & it was my highlight in time in Sumatra! So I can only recommend Discover Sumatra&because I asked myself this some of those I met on the way in Sumatra: absolutely ethically justifiable!:) Everything was super organized both in advance and on site.I arrived quite late, was still collected by Fabio, brought to the accommodation & prepared for the trek the next morning. We were 2 girls&had a lot of fun with our guides.Pele you can really tell that he loves the Jungle&is super familiar with biology. On the second day the trek/route was also adapted to our needs :) what more could you want? We could see a lot of monkeys, including Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkey&of course orangutans. Overall, we saw orangutans every day (including babies)! In the evenings at the camps we were spoiled with delicious food, in the morning with tea & fruit. The cooling in the river, as well as the rafting round off the trip perfectly. Thanks for that!!

We were on Sumatra as a family – our guide and driver were just perfect! Everything was super organized, friendly and reliable. We felt comfortable and well looked after at all times. Highly recommended

On our Indonesia trip we decided to do the jungle trekking on Sumatra with Discover Sumatra. Still a few days before the tour started we were given numerous tips and tricks for entering etc. The tour itself was super organized and the two still young guides were also really great. They spoke good English and knew each other really well. Every question was answered with the right answer. You could tell that the boys really like to do their job and are there with body and soul. The food that was always freshly prepared was really delicious. The experience, the tour itself, was one of my most beautiful experiences. Seeing the Urang-utans climbing in the wild was really impressive. Even after the tour the contact was still very good. My escort forgot a few things in Bukit Lawang. Discover Sumatra has tried to locate someone who will also fly to where we flew to bring us the things. We were very happy and grateful. I would always do something with Discover Sumatra. There was really nothing wrong.

We booked two trips through Discover Sumatra. The first trip was from Berastagi to Lake Toba and the second trip was from Lake Toba to Medan. Both trips worked perfectly. The drivers were very punctual and helped us with our luggage. The first driver could speak English and told us a lot about the culture in Sumatra. This was very interesting. The second driver unfortunately could not speak English. We would recommend Discover Sumatra.

Was a great experience,guides/drivers are caring and do everything to help you and make it a nice experience. For the circumstances the accommodations were clean and sufficient,you can’t expect 5 star accommodation in Bukit Lawang and Berastagi,I am 79 and could cope with cold showers (nice in the tropics) The traffic was not enjoyable hopefully the Indonesian government wakes up and do something about it, I don’t have an answer. We had a great week, I grew up in Indonesia and left 65 years ago,the driver did everything to find my old house and school,successful it was still there. I’m from Australia and hope more Australians will discover Sumatra.
