Vi besøger Zaanse Schans, en charmerende historisk bevaringsby fyldt med traditionelle huse og ikoniske vindmøller. Du vil have mulighed for at udforske vindmøllerne, se klodser fremstilles, og nyde en dejlig ost smag oplevelse. Efterfølgende tager vi til Keukenhof, verdens mest fantastiske forårsgård! Haverne er åbne fra den 20. marts til den 11. maj 2025, og har omkring 7 millioner forårsblomster, herunder tulipaner, papegøjer, hyacinter og krokuser. Husk, at ikke alle blomster blomstrer på samme tid, så visningen kan variere i løbet af sæsonen.

Du bliver hentet fra dit hotel i Amsterdam.
Vi ankommer til The Zaanse Schans. Dette er en fredet landsby med en række historiske huse, pakhuse og fungerende industrielle vindmøller. Det føles som om du rejser tilbage i tiden! Du vil opleve, hvordan livet var mellem det 18. og 19. århundrede. Vi nyder en hyggelig spadseretur forbi de gamle træhuse med deres bevarede originale detaljer, som ceremonielle døre og udskårne overligger, smager lokal chokolade i chokoladebutikken, og afslutter med et besøg på en fungerende vindmølle.
På Henry Willigs ostegård vil vi have en Gouda- og Edam-ostsmagning. De er i top 10 af verdens ostemagere. Hvis du er en osteelsker... er du i ostehimlen! De har 30 smagsvarianter og designer ostene specielt til rejser.
Træsko håndværk demonstration. Altid ønsket at vide, hvordan en træsko bliver lavet? Deltag i træskohåndværksdemonstrationen og find ud af det. I træskomuseet fortæller vi alt om træsko. Du kan endda prøve eller købe et par træsko!
Et besøg på den sidste malerfabrik i verden "De Kat". Det blev oprindeligt bygget i 1781. Det er en ottekantet mølle med en roterende hætte og eksternt galleri. Siden dens restaurering og delvise genopbygning i 1960 har den været indrettet til at male farvematerialer som pigmenter. Efter en forklaring på, hvordan vindmøllen fungerer, har du mulighed for at klatre op på vindmøllen og lave smukke billeder på det eksterne galleri.

Had an awesome day visiting windmills and viewing tulips with Esther! She had great insight into how windmills work and millers operate, being a miller’s daughter herself (hence Windmill Girl!). She also knew all the best photo spots and took great photos! Super friendly and generous, too, with great taste in music. We had a super fun day with her!

Incredible trip! Esther was fun, friendly and informative. Loved the local knowledge and ties to the area. Early in flower season she made sure we saw as much as possible, just one among many efforts made to see that we had an exceptional day. Our guide’s name was Esther and she is a native of Nederland and actually grew up in a working windmill that her parents still own and operate today. Bring a local means that she has additional information and unique perspectives to share as you go from place to place. We did the windmill and tulip tour. It was March 21st so just a bit too early to see the tulips in bloom. We did still see fields of yellow daffodils which were pretty, but the tour was quite expensive and we were a bit disappointed that the tulip farm didn’t offer a “low season” rate or at least throw in lunch or something. I would definitely recommend hiring Esther as your guide, but if you’re going to see the tulips, she tells us that mid-April until end of May is the best time to go.

The Keukenhof gardens are only open for seven weeks a year, and it all depends on Mother Nature what will be in bloom during that time.
