Vi dækker alle de store højdepunkter, Lima har at tilbyde fra før-inkaens historie og koloniale arkitektur til prisvindende gastronomi og en privat rundvisning i Limas største attraktion, Larco Museum. Vores første stop på den historiske bymidte del af vores tur. Her genkender vi en af Perus mest kendte befriere, Jose de San Martin.
Også kendt som St. Francis-klosteret på engelsk blev kirken og klosteret tilføjet til UNESCOs verdensarvsliste i 1991. Webstedet indeholder et verdensberømt bibliotek med ca. 25.000 antikke tekster, og i katakomberne anslås det, at det samme antal mennesker blev lagt til hvile. I dag kan du udforske de engang skjulte passager og observere de unikke viste rester af første Limeños.
Her vil vi tilbringe et par minutter i hjertet af Lima. Plaza de Armas er hjemsted for præsidentpaladset, biskopens palads, katedral og kommunale bygninger og kan ofte være et livligt sted fyldt med mennesker og forskellige former for underholdning.
Bygget på toppen af et syvende århundrede pyramide, dette vice kongelige palæ er et sted at se med sin smukt plejet for haver; du vil finde dig selv at snappe billeder af grunden så meget som relikerne inde. Den del af turen består af fængslende historie, en antikvitetsbutik på 45.000 stk. Og en spændende erotisk samling (dette værelse kan udelades, hvis man rejser med yngre børn). Bagefter vil vi have tid til at nyde en lækker frokost omgivet af farverige haver på museets cafés udendørs terrasse.
Et kort stop for at observere Limas mest berømte massive pyramide, der blev brugt som et ceremonielt sted for Lima-kulturen i årene 200-700. En komplet rundtur på stedet er ikke taget, kun observeret udefra.
En kunstnerisk park beliggende på havet-klipperne i Miraflores. Overhold para svævefly sejler over hovedet og lokale unge par spadseretur langs stier dedikeret til elskere overalt. Et godt sted at snappe et hurtigt billede af dig og en elsket!
Se den mere moderne side af Lima med dens havudsigt og smukke parker. Inkluderet i denne del af turen stopper ved Huaca Pucllana og Parque de Amor (Love Park.)
Siddende på ca. 251 meter over havets overflade får du en vidunderlig udsigt over Stillehavskystlinjen, Chorrillos Bay og Shanty-byerne nedenfor. Ofte overset på andre ture, dette kan være højdepunktet for vores!

We booked this tour for a long layover in Lima and it exceeded our expectations! Our guide Edgar was not only very knowledgeable, he made the tour fun. George, our driver, added to the fun while safely navigating the traffic and avoiding jams. Among our favorite sites were the church and catacombs, the Museo Larco (beautiful grounds and excellent food), and “lovers park” with its Gaudi-inspired wall. We highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a perfect way to spend a long layover in Lima. We were picked up at the airport by our guide Edgar and driver George. Edgar answered all our many questions, providing insightful and fun facts about the city and the sites. Highlights for us were the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco with its catacombs and the Museo Larco, where we had a delicious lunch. George was both a friendly and great driver, safely navigating the traffic and avoiding jams. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a day to spend in Lima.
