We had a really great experience with Lion King and our tour guide Macha! The parks were amazing, we saw lots of wildlife and Macha went out of his way to make sure we saw everything! Macha has a lot of experience and knew a lot about the parks. He taught us a lot about the animals as well. He also didn’t rush us through anything, we were able to observe all the wildlife at a good pace. He took us to all different parts of Serengeti - we wanted to see the Great migration and Macha even made a long drive to the western side of the park for it. Would highly highly recommend Macha! Lion King booked us a balloon safari experience, crater rim hike, and treetop walks. Those were all great! We were able to see lots of big herds and several prides of lions from our sunrise balloon safari and it was totally worth it! Florida and Jovitha were both really great as well with making our itinerary and booking the trip! All the accommodations Lion King booked for us were amazing! The food was amazing as well! As vegetarians, the lunches sometimes felt slightly heavy with more rice based options but overall, the food was really great! Definitely recommend Lion King and Macha if you are looking to book a Tanzania safari trip!

Overall this tour and trip was a 10 out of 5! Lion King and our guide Macha went out of their way for us and fully exceeded our expectations. This was our (my wife and I) second ever safari in Africa and this felt totally different than the last one we did. The tour, accomodations, food, and parks were well worth the price and much more. I'll break these down further: Booking / Tour Company Booking with Lion King was incredibly easy. They were always responsive and answered all of our questions. Booking with them was painless. Up until the start of our tour they were communicative and flexible with our plans. They kept us up to date and gave us a detailed itinerary of what to expect. Their tour vehicles are amazing as well, very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The airport pick up and drop off was also very smooth. I highly recommend using this tour company for a Tanzanian Safari. Guide Our guide Macha was incredible. He was always punctual and responsive to our needs. He made us feel right at home, and spending all day in the jeep with him was always fun. He was very knowledgeable about the parks, wildlife, and geopolitical topics. He also had a keen site and knew exactly where to find certain animals. He knew all the roads by heart, and even in the middle of nowhere he could tell us exactly where we were. He always ensured we had the best view and never rushed us. He often took the path less traveled making it feel like we had our own private safari park. He also knew the best locations to go to depending on the day, time, and what he has heard from others. He was always well informed. We learned a lot from him! He also always kept us updated with the plans for the day. His jeep was always clean, and always ensured we had enough food and water. He was also an excellent driver, even on the roughest roads we felt safe and secure. Besides being a professional he was also very personable. He was a cool guy to talk to, and it felt like we were traveling with a long time friend. He went out of his way for us, often driving from opposite ends of the park in one day just to ensure we had the best experience. You can never guarantee sightings on a safari but we saw everything we came for and more because of Macha. I can't thank or recommend Macha enough, he was AWESOME! Hotels / Food All of the hotels and accomodations we stayed at were of very high quality. The staff were almost too hospitable and made us feel very welcomed. The food was also good and there were good options for vegetarians for all 3 meals. The lunch on the safaris was also good, but sometimes a bit heavy with rice and lentils. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and most had an incredible view. They were also clean and bug free. WiFi was a bit spotty at some locations, but often it was not too much of an issue. Parks We visited 4 parks over 7 days (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara). Each one was very different than the others, and I highly recommend you to visit them all. The facilities in the parks were also immaculate. The parks truly feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere, truly in nature. Often you won't see a single other car either. There is so much to see and you will never tire of watching the animals. Trust your guide and you will have a great time. Excursions We did all of the excursions offered, 2 guided walks and a hot air balloon safari. The walks were short and very easy, they were a nice break from being in the car. We saw a lot of different plants and birds, and many big animals from a far. Definitely worth the price if you have the time. The hot air balloon ride was a very unique experience. We traveled for over an hour in the air and saw so much wildlife. The birds eye view made it all worth the price. It is on the more expensive side, but if you have the funds it is so worth it!

Fredy and Haruni were amazing guides, they had so much knowledge about the animals and helped us spot rare animal sightings. We were on safari for 6 days and everyday there were new animals to see. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Lion King to anyone thinking of doing a safari in Tanzania.

Fredy and Haruni have been great guides and have been great to have as hosts. They have been very accommodating and have a great amount of knowledge with the animals we saw. We had a great experience. Our tour guides Fredy and Haruni were personable and flexible. They shared the history of Tanzania and the nuances between the cultures of the 120+ tribes in Tanzania. When my tour group wanted to go to a market, both Fredy and Haruni were agreeable and took us there for a walk. Airport pickup was great too - My boyfriend and I got our airports mixed up, and our flight was delayed by 2 hours, and Lion King adventures were prompt to change our time and location.

Thank you so much Fredy and Haruni for an excellent Safari. We saw all of the big 5 multiple times. They made the Safari truly exceptional and we learnt so much from them about the animals and the culture. Every part of the tour was amazing, and they went above and beyond to answer our questions and any requests. Fredy and Haruni had a wealth of knowledge about the animals and the tribes, and were extremely experienced and trustworthy. By the end of the trip they felt like family. We will miss you Fredy and Haruni!!!!

We recently returned from an unforgettable 6-day safari in Tanzania, organized by Lion King Adventures, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Our group consisted of my family and my sister’s family, and from start to finish, the agency was absolutely wonderful. ​The entire team was attentive, polite, and extremely thoughtful, ensuring all of our needs were met throughout the journey. We had an amazing experience. Sharani was a friendly transport driver and Amani was a fantastic guide. Whenever he heard of an animal sighting on the radio, Amani got us there quickly. We saw all five of the Big 5! The camps and lodges were great. The food was amazing and the staff were very kind.

My experience was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The registration process was great, our two Guides Jackson and Benjamin did a fantastic job they were great drivers, hist and very professional. All the accommodations were excellent clean, the attendants were very professional and courteous and the safaris were once in a life tome experiences.

It has been an incredible experience. The entire staff was very attentive from start to finish, and the places scheduled for the stays were also excellent 👏🏼. Our guide Godi took us to the best spots in each of the parks and reserves to see the Big Five, and we succeeded 😀. The lunches on safari days consist of homemade food prepared on the day (not a lunch box). The vehicle was clean and restocked with drinks every day.
