We had an incredible 6-day private safari in Tanzania, and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Jerome, who was always responsive, helpful, and made the entire booking process smooth and stress-free. A huge thank you to our guide, Nuru, who truly made this trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and had an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. Thanks to his experience, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five and so many other incredible animals. He always made sure we were in the best position for sightings while sharing fascinating information about the wildlife and national parks.

We’ve just returned from an 8-day safari with Meru Slopes, and it was everything we’d hoped for. Almachius made booking easy and was happy to build a custom trip around us, taking in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. From pickup everything ran smoothly. Our guide and driver, Nuru, made the week — the kind of person you’re genuinely glad to share a car with for seven days. He knows the region inside out, from trees and birds to wildlife, and went above and beyond at every turn: a superb driver with a sharp eye for spotting, who kept the car spotless and tidy each day. He clearly works with photographers a lot too, and we hugely appreciated how he’d find us the best position, light and background for the animals — and being so well connected with the other guides, he always knew exactly where they’d be. The lodges were all excellent, but the Signature Luxury Tents in the Serengeti were our favourite — waking up to lions and zebra calling nearby was unforgettable. Thank you to Meru Slopes, Almachius and the team, and a massive special thanks to Nuru, who we feel very lucky to have had as our guide.

We had a great time with Meru Slopes in Tanzania, Gift Tembo as a contact person was very patient and flexible with our needs and agenda. We took a 4 night long safari visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngoro hoping to see the big 5! Our guide Jacob did everything to fulfill our dream and we have managed to see many elephants, countless lions, 3 leopards, 2 cheetas and even 2 Rhinos. He was telling us all the information we needed with a touch of good humor. The hotels we stayed at were also nice and their staff was welcoming. If I have to say some negative maybe skip the beer and wine package if you dont want to drink it during the safari as it is rare to have a bathroom of course. Materuni waterfall is also a must have after you finished with the safari. Anyway, to sum up: it was a lifelong experience with a statisfaction with Meru Slopes much better than expected, and would recommend Jacob to be your guide, just ask for him if you book.

We had a very nice holiday experience. Booking, communication and payment processing in advance with Leonard was straightforward. Meru Slopes has provided us with a carefree package. We were accompanied from the pick-up at the airport, through the days of the safari to the onward journey after the safari. The safari with the guide Jackson was very eventful. We learned a lot about the animals and nature in the national parks as well as the culture of the country. The chosen accommodations (lodges and tented camp) were beautiful and authentic. Food on the go (hot lunch, water, wine, beer and cola) as well as breakfast and dinner at the lodges was always good. We had a lovely time and can highly recommend Jackson as a guide with a lot of experience.

Everything was provided exactly as promised, and our trip was even better than we had hoped. Our trip coordinator Kelvin was always available from pre-booking to the end of our trip. He answered all of our questions and made sure everything went according to plan. Our Safari guide Douglas was also exceptional! He provided us with an outstanding Safari, as well as immense knowledge about the wildlife, Messiah culture and the country. I highly recommend MERU slopes to anyone wanting an exceptional safari experience

It was a fantastic, breathtaking experience. Immersing yourself in the most remote nature, guided by our ranger, Patrick, is one of those events that you must experience at least once in your life. The equipped campsites and food were outstanding, there was not a single negative event in our entire experience.

We had a wonderful safari including sighting of the Big Five. It was all perfectly organized and was a lot of fun.
