What an experience! We had an absolute blast of a time with this workshop. Fernando was so welcoming and insightful on this beautiful craft, from it's history to how it's used by today artists. It's easy to access, being not to far from the center of Oaxaca and it's only a few hours of your day. Can't recommend it enough!

An excellent activity to spend with friends or family, or solo. Everyone in our group was a pleasure to get to know. Our hosts/teachers were patient, friendly and knowledgeable! I think this would be great if you had experience or not. Most of us did not and we loved the process and the product!! After you’re done you get to pick up two days later (so consider when booking!) I would recommend and do again!

The family loved this. Creating our own art with their examples of other woodblock prints helped to inspire us. The instructor was outstanding ! It was a special time for us all.

My partner and I already have a deep appreciation for the graphic art community and this experience deepened that even further. I’m so excited to bringing home pieces that we created! Constructive feedback: I would have enjoyed learning more about the local graphic art community, names of tools and techniques, etc. We were guided through the steps to create pieces of our own. I wish we’d have gotten some instruction on tips/tricks to make our pieces better rather than learning by trial and error. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t recall seeing in the description that we had to return to pick ip the pieces later. That would be helpful for future participants’ to factor into their itinerary.

A great workshop with local artists, there was a lovely vibe as we sat amongst them and learnt how to woodcarve. They were really instructive and taught us lots about the process and it was a lovely cool room in which to pass a couple of hours as we crafted. I love what we made and we got to come back a couple of hours later once it had fully dried to pick up our prints. Wholeheartedly recommend.

The workshop lead by Fabiola was a truly enjoyable experience. As a result, I have a much deeper appreciation of this art form and what goes into creating a woodblock print. I also love having my own art piece to take home.

Great session! We had a really fun time creating our own design, carving it out into the wood, and seeing it come to life during the printing. The person leading the session was very nice and helpful - guided us and gave suggestions but ultimately it's up to you how you'd like it to look! Would recommend if you enjoy making art.

Such a great space with a lovely teacher and heaps of amazing work to be inspired by. I would highly recommend doing this class.
