James was an excellent guide. He had a ton of information about Manchester and of course the movies that we were there to tour! This is was definitely worth every penny!
If you’re a Pride and Prejudice fan, or love Jane Austen in general, then this tour is up your alley. James was a very knowledgeable guide. He explained the history of Manchester, took the group to many locations from the 1995 series and 2005 film, and even is a rock expert when it comes to finding Keira Knightley‘s rock from the 2005 film. He pointed out locations from the series and movie throughout the trip which was fun. Plus he drove everywhere (huge bonus). Honestly, just the scenery from most of the drive alone was gorgeous. One tip I have if you’re thinking about signing up for the tour…. Wear comfortable shoes. Just because you want that adorable pair to match your outfit, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Your feet will thank you later. Have fun!
This Pride and Prejudice tour experience was perfect! James was knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating throughout the day. We would definitely book this experience again and have already recommended it to friends and family.
James was an excellent guide: very knowledgeable and well prepared, not only about the history of Manchester and the areas we travelled through, but also about the Pride and Prejudice filming locations. I particularly appreciated his explanations of the scenes from both the BBC series and the movie filmed at each location. His stories and background information made the places we visited even more interesting and brought the scenes to life. I would definitely recommend this day trip, both to Pride and Prejudice fans and to anyone who wants to discover the beautiful Peak District. One small suggestion: the pick-up point could be described more clearly. The Google Maps and Apple Maps links can lead to different locations, which can be confusing. A more detailed description or a photo of the exact meeting point would be very helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!
James our driver was superb - knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Comfortable vehicle, great company, wonderful scenery and excellent stop off points. A long day but worth every minute - highly recommend this brilliant day out.
Our tour guide was excellent! I especially appreciated the personal touches around lunchtime, including his recommendations on where to eat, what to try, and the different options available. He was also incredibly accommodating of my mobility issues, which made the entire experience much more comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!

It was a beautiful experience and we visited many historical places but also in nature on the rocks. The guide James was very friendly and he gave us the maximum amount of information on this tour.
We had the BEST day on this Pride and Prejudice tour! My daughter and I are huge Jane Austen fans, and this was a dream come true. Our guide, James, was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day so much fun. The comfortable, air-conditioned electric van seats seven, and even sitting in the back, we could hear James perfectly. The morning covered the 1995 BBC version, including Lyme Park (Pemberley), which was our favorite stop. We walked the grounds and saw the famous spot where Colin Firth took his plunge into the lake. We also visited Ramshaw Rocks, where Jennifer Ehle stood, and Longnor, used for the inn at Lambton. Lunch in Bakewell was delicious—definitely try the homity pie! The afternoon focused on the 2005 film. Chatsworth served as Pemberley, and while I thought the entry fee was expensive and the estate a bit over-the-top, it was fun seeing the filming locations, including the statues and the window where Keira Knightley looked out. The gift shop even has a Matthew Macfadyen/Darcy bust with a hilarious “Do not kiss” warning! We finished at Stanage Edge. The hike was worth it for the spectacular views and seeing where Keira Knightley stood. As someone afraid of heights, I took my photo from a safer spot with the famous rock in the background! We also learned so much about the history of Manchester and the Peak District. My daughter and I dressed in Regency attire and were delighted that a couple of other guests did too! It’s a long 10-hour day, but we packed so much into it that the time flew by. One of the best tours we've ever taken. Highly recommended for Austen fans and non-fans alike—and I would definitely take another tour with this company!
