Pladsen er sammensat af en esplanade, der forsigtigt falder ned mod Garonne og omgivet af plantede vandreture. Der er de monumentale statuer af Montaigne og Montesquieu af billedhuggeren Dominique Fortuné Maggesi i hvid marmor, som blev anbragt der i 1858.
Aquitaine-broen er en hængebro beliggende på ringvejen i Bordeaux, i departementet Gironde og regionen Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Det forbinder byerne Lormont og Bordeaux over Garonne. Broen stod færdig i 1967 og har et spænd på 394 m i en længde på 1.767 m. Det er den sidste bro over Garonne før dens flodmunding, Gironde og Atlanterhavet.
Den oprindelige port var placeret i volden fra det 14. århundrede. Det blev erstattet af det nuværende monument, bygget tættere på Garonne.

Very good welcome from the crew with lovely smiles, the guided tour was pleasant and complete, definitely worth doing again.
Excellent informative funny tour Great value for money Savannah was friendly and excellent French to English commentary You get a token for a drink on board including soft drinks, but the bar prices are extremely reasonable as well if you want more drinks, bottle of water €2, glass of wine €4 Takes a hour and half. Shaded and non shaded upstairs area, air conditioned downstairs area with unisex toilet Definitely worth while when in Bordeaux
A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Bourdeaux. The guide was excellant, informative and funny. Arrive early to obtain a seat in the shade. Best to use your drink ticket for a canned drink as the wine was awful.
Great 1.5 hour cruise with wine and snack. It was very hot the day we went, and there is an air-conditioned interior with great views. The host gave good information about the city. Wonderful way to get a view of the old and newer parts of the city from the river.
The English version was good. First, he would do it all in French than English. You got one of the famous cakes they make. the wine so so. Learned a good amount of history from this perspective

A very pleasant small cruise on the Garonne with a guide who explains well, very cheerful and friendly. You receive a cannelé that is very good, but the glass of wine is just okay.
Very relaxing and you can see things from the river but you can basically see the same things if you're walking
It's a nice activity to do in the area for the price. Great way to see what else Bordeaux has to offer. Couldn't really make out what the guide was saying Nice wine
I would recommend this experience. This boat ride was inexpensive and worthwhile. We learned lots of information and saw the city from the river which was a great perspective. The boat was not too crowded and the staff were friendly.
