Når det kommer til mad, bliver Luang Prabang ofte overset - og det er netop derfor, det er så specielt. Skjult i det blotte syn, er dens morgenmad scene en af Sydøstasiens bedst bevarede hemmeligheder. Hver morgen, markeder og hjørner af gaden nyder liv med røggriller, boblende gryder og den rolige rytme af det lokale liv, der udfolder sig over tallerkener med mad. Med os vil du springe turistfælderne og dykke lige ind i byens rige madkultur. Mød sælgerne, hør historierne, og smag på retterne, der brænder Luang Prabang hver dag - fra røget khao sojabønner og stegt mungebønner kager til urte supper, krydrede salater og kulgrillet kylling. Over 15 smagsprøver, tager vi dig på en smagfyldt rejse, som få rejsende nogensinde får lov til at opleve på egen hånd.

Vores morgen fest tur med 15+ smagsprøver inviterer gæsterne til en kulinarisk oplevelse omkring den historiske by Luang Prabang. Det er et omhyggeligt kureret madeventyr, ledet af et team af professionelle laotiske madguider. Inden vi begynder, din tur afspejler det lokale køkken, og begrænsningerne af gademat sælgere betyder, at vi desværre ikke kan imødekomme alle kost restriktioner. Her er en ærlig vurdering af turen, så ingen bliver skuffet: Ikke egnet til vegetariske diæter beklager, da der ville være 3-4 færre smagsprøver. ✔ Svinekød bruges i 2-3 smagsprøver med begrænsede alternativer til rådighed, selvom gæsten ikke bliver sulten, hvis dette er din eneste begrænsning. ⚡️ Uegnet til alvorlige allergier & halal, på grund af risikoen for spor og krydskontamination. ✔ Egnet til mild gluten og laktose intolerance, men vi anbefaler mod ⚡️ celiac sygdom, da der er spor af gluten i 4-5 smagsprøver, herunder uundgåelig sojasås. Efter munkens almisgivelse er morgenerne i Luang Prabang en fest for sanserne. Morgenmarkederne buzz med tidlige risers, damp billows fra boblerende potter, og duften af grillede kød, urter og friske nudler fylder luften. Dette er, når byens mad scene er på sin mest autentiske - ufiltreret, lokale, og fyldt med smag. I løbet af 3-4 timer, vil vi venture gennem 15+ smagsprøver fra gade sælgere, markedsstande og skjulte perler. Kun nogle af højdepunkterne inkluderer varmt laotisk kaffe, stegt mungebænkage, pikante chili-dips, kyllinggrillet kul, urteagtige laotiske supper, krydrede salater og delikat dampede khao sojabønner, blandt mange flere overraskelser. Undervejs vil din vært dykke ind i de historier, ingredienser og teknikker, der gør laotisk køkken virkelig en af sin slags.
Gå glip af hotellets morgenmad og oplev byens buzz kun i dagtimerne. Der er en eksklusiv invitation til en af de sidste resterende mursten-ovn bagere, ved en traditionel joint med træforbrændte ovne og friske baguetter. Kom sulten. Turen slutter tæt på mødestedet i det centrale Luang Prabang. Nyd den lokale gæstfrihed og mød nye venner undervejs, og afslut turen bevæbnet med den viden, du har brug for for at fortsætte med at spise lokal mad over Laos og videre.

Tour was amazing ! Had the opportunity to eat multiple local meals, as well as understand the local culture. I was alone this time, but not to be afraid as I had greay company. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! Many thanks again for the tour :)
My guide , Toun (AKA Jungle Boy), was exceptional. Attentive to make the tour tasteful, full of knowledge and friendly. I learned about lao food, lao culture and way of life. Totally recommendable. Tips: - if taking the morning shift, skip breakfast completely - if taking the evening shift, skip lunch There is a lot of tasty food! Save yourself so you can taste all of it. You really don’t want to miss any of the dishes and snacks.
Well curated food tour that brings participants into hidden local spots, off the typical tourist track. Mone, the tour guide, was attentive and passionate in sharing about the local culture in Laos. Good relations have been built with local stall-owners, making access into the exclusive spaces a smooth one. I highly recommend this tour to get a taster of the local food and culture of LPB!
A great experience trying out all the traditional food with our guide Mone.
Our guide, Mone, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. You could tell he truly cared about making our experience was great. The tour was extremely unique and we were able to try things we likely wouldn't have been able to find on our own which was not only fun but also both interesting and educational. The guide was also very accommodating to the dietary needs of one of us who is vegetarian. Overall I recommend this tour as a really fun way to experience Lao cuisine.
Absolutely loved this food tour in Luang Prabang! It felt much more than just “trying food” — it was a genuine local experience. We explored local breakfast spots, street snacks, traditional dishes, and hidden places I would never have found by myself. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen.

friendly, enthusiastic, and full of positive energy. He really made the experience special. The small group made the tour very enjoyable, and the quality for the price was excellent. Every dish I tried was absolutely delicious. It was a great mix of discovering Lao food while also learning about the history of Luang Prabang.
Toun was a great guide on our morning tour of Luang Prabang's eateries and markets. A Chef's Tour started with bread and Lao coffee beside the Mekong River, before we proceeded to eat our way across Luang Prabang. Often with the help of tuk-tuks we tried chicken, coconut pancakes, sticky rice, noodles, dessert etc. My favourite was the khaozoy (noodle soup). We also explored the delights of the morning market. The knowledgeable Toun also explained about the history of Laos, the Golden Buddha. and the five rules to live your life by. We ended up having our own bread baked, the French way and having the pleasure of hearing Toun singing a duet with one of our number. All in all a fascinating and gentle tour. Highly recommended.
