Lots of information from Emily! Saw all over the city and got great historical background. Nice to have open windows for pictures.
We did the just shy of 2 hours trolley tour that gave quick highlights of the downtown Portland area along with 30 minutes at the Lighthouse. Tour guide/driver was good and seemed very knowledgeable along with having a solid sense of humor. We did have to hike a bit to the pick up spot roughly 1/2 mile from cruise ship port) from our cruise ship but did make it to the 9AM start. I thought for the 55ish dollar price tag each it was fine all things considered.

This is a great tour if you have never been to Portland and want to get the history of the city. Steve was our guide, and being a Portland native, had a lot of knowledge of the city and many good stories, and some bad dad jokes (eg why did the lobster cross the road….to get to the otha tide!). Depending on when your tour is at, may want to arrive 30-45’ before hand to find parking and a bathroom. No public restrooms nearby. We used a local restaurant’s bathroom. If you do get Steve, brush up on each states lighthouses for the quiz at the end of the tour 😎
Great tour, learned some cool things about Portland.Steve H was great!!! Is did a great job explaining the history
Beat guided tour Ive been on. Very funny and knowledgeable guide. Entertained the whole time and easy to understand and open to interaction.
I am a Portland native and enjoyed the trip still learning new things abour Portland. Wendy was GREAT - She said that she wanted suggestions so here is a small one. If you could go down part of Cunberland Ave to spotlight Portland High School, the second oldest high school in the country - 205 years old- built in 1821 and second to Boston Latin. Great hstory found on the web - and at the same time going past the front of the Cathedral rather than looking at it behind other buildings. I think those would be positive add-ons Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and thought it was well done.
The driver of the trolley was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She was also very accommodating in dropping guests off closer to where their cruise ship was docked.
Our driver, Steve was very knowledgeable and entertaining! The sites were so interesting and historically significant!
Tour guides were super knowledgeable and friendly! Enjoyed the scenic views and learning all about Maine.
