En-dagsturen til Poas-vulkanen er meget komplet, da den inkluderer transport, adgangsgebyrer og en lækker morgenmad og frokost, før du vender tilbage til dit hotel. Det går normalt fra byen San Jose og på vej til vulkanen vil du kunne observere en masse natur og smukke landskaber, på turen til plantagerne lærer du hvordan costaricanske kaffebønner dyrkes, hvor du kan også smag det endelige produkt med en rig smag. El Poás er vulkanen med et af de største kratere i hele Mellemamerika, hvilket gør det til et af de vigtigste turistmål i Costa Rica. På dette sted kan du forbinde dig med naturen og nyde dens lækre kolde vejr. Efter besøget i vulkanen fortsætter du til La Paz Waterfall Gardens, et vildtreservat Opkaldt efter de fem vandfald og den smukke vegetation, der blomstrer på stedet.

Når vi bestiger bjerget, vil du bemærke en ændring i temperatur og vegetation; du vil have mulighed for at se kaffeplantager samt bregne-, blomster- og jordbærfarme undervejs, hvilket skaber et smukt udvalg af farver og billeder. Derefter besøger du en restaurant i området for en lækker morgenmad.
Efter kaffeturen fortsætter vi til Poas Volcano National Park, hvor der er en mærkbar ændring i temperatur og sprudlende vegetation i skyskoven. Poás-vulkanen er en aktiv stratovulkan på 2.708 meter (8.885 fod). Vulkanens krater er over en kilometer på tværs og 1050 fod dybt. Det har været i udbrud 40 gange siden 1828, inklusive april 2017. Ved vulkanen vil du have tid til at nyde det imponerende hovedkrater med dets svovlfumaroler og vandre på en sti til den smukke Botos-lagune, mens vi lærer om de forskellige økosystemer i parken.
Efter Poás fortsætter vi til La Paz Waterfall Garden, hvor du vil nyde en frokostbuffet (bedømt til 4 Forks af Costa Rica Tourism Council), der inkluderer flere udvalg af traditionelle costaricanske retter og meget mere. Ved La Paz Waterfall Gardens vil vi gå gennem vandrestier omgivet af frodig tropisk regnskov. Her vil vi sætte pris på strømmende hvide floder, spektakulære vandfald, fugle, sommerfugle, aber og kolibrier. Der er også pædagogiske dyreudstillinger at nyde, såsom volieren, sommerfugleobservatoriet, kolibrihaven, Serpentarium, Jungle Cats Exhibit og Frog Exhibit. Dette er bestemt en tur, der nydes af naturelskere i alle aldre.

We visited a coffee plantation, volcano, and had lunch on our tour. Everything was perfect, I highly recommend this company. Eduardo was our tour guide and he was nice, knowledgeable, patient and did everything possible to make sure we had a great experience. 5 stars for sure!
Jose Diaz was an incredibly kind, and informative tour guide able to clearly communicate in both English and Spanish. It was an absolute pleasure experiencing the Poas volcano and the coffee plantation. He also kindly let us stop for a bit at the Starbucks location, Alsacia. The booking process was very easy as well. The Poas volcano was originally closed when we planned our trip, so when we found out it had re-opened we called around 7pm, and they were able to have the entire tour arranged within the hour for a tour the next day at 8am. We would definitely recommend this agency and would travel with them again. Pura vida!
This tour gave us a little taste of Costa Rica and was well done. Rodger was our guide and was knowledgeable and friendly and made it a really fun day. He was on time and we always knew what we were doing next.

The guides were superb. It was all good. The volcano, coffee fields, and waterfalls. Surprisingly the waterfall aspect was quite physically intensive. I am 78 years old and it was a challenge for me. And I’m an ex airborne Ranger
We had a fantastic first day visiting the 3 places... 1. DOKA - Coffee plantation along with our breakfast. 2. Poas Volcano - although it was cloudy so we didn't get the best view (that's down to weather conditions) 3. La Pas Waterfalls & Gardens - we saw some many beautiful birds and animals, you need a few hours here then finished up by see the various waterfalls. We also had lunch here. We had an early start of 7.30am and didnt get home until 6.45pm but it was certainly worth it with our excellent guide.
This is a second tine we hired Sky Solutions and as predicted it was incredible! Roger was so knowledgeable and very helpful. He picked us up in Belen and dropped us off at Playa Hermosa. We stopped a few times to show us some fun spots. He answered all our questions and told us a lot of interesting facts about Costa Rica. At the end of our stay in Costa Rica he picked us up and took us to a coffee plantation, Volcano and stopped along the way to show us more interesting places. You could tell how passionate he is about his country and proudly talked about all the cool stuff! My friends are already planning to come back and definitely use Sky again! What a great experience!
