Igennem millioner af år har vandet skåret sig vej gennem travertin-klipper og skabt dybe søer og vandfald. Det er den mest kendte kroatiske nationalpark, som har været på UNESCO's verdensarvsliste siden 1979. Du kan nyde den lange gåtur gennem parken og skoven, gå ombord på elbåden og nyde de ubeskrivelige blå-grønne farver i søerne. Denne enestående naturperle med søer og vandfald, et rigt plante- og dyreliv og smukke bjerglandskab tiltrækker mange naturelskere fra hele verden. Det bliver en uforglemmelig oplevelse!

N 15°37'21,1"E). De ligger begge på samme vej ret tæt på hinanden og ved søerne. Du skal fremvise denne billet til den tilsvarende indgang, som du har reserveret, for at modtage din officielle adgangsbillet.
- Du bør ankomme senest 55 minutter efter starttidspunktet, hvor du har bestilt din entré. Det betyder, at hvis du har bestilt entré kl. 10.00, skal du bytte dit værdibevis og gå ind i parken senest kl. 10.55.
- Hvis du rejser i bil, skal du huske, at parkering ikke er gratis i parken. Parkeringspladser omkring Nationalparken opkræver alle ophold. Der er dog nogle gratis mindre parkeringspladser i mere fjerntliggende områder, men du bliver derefter nødt til at gå ganske langt for at få adgang til parken.
- Fra 1. november til 1. april er vejrforholdene i nationalparken tilbøjelige til at ændre sig hurtigt, og derfor kan individuelle stier være midlertidigt lukket, eller køretøjer forbudt. Al daglig information vil blive noteret på indgangen til parken.
- Hunde er kun tilladt i parken i snor. De er også tilladt på shuttle-bussen og færgebussen i parken.
- Studierabatter er ikke gældende ved dette køb
- Plitvice har åbent hele året rundt uanset vejrforhold; en del af stier og søer kan lukkes (normalt om vinteren). Du kan finde al den seneste information på Plitvices hjemmeside eller ved indgangen.

No need to be an experienced hiker! However, make sure to wear proper shoes. The trip was completed faster than mentioned. Trails are well marked and clear; no need for a guide. A spectacular view and the sounds of relaxing waterfalls. No mosquitoes!!! No plague of gnats... no need for mosquito repellent. Very impressive.
Wonderful experience, definitely a must to have seen. The 8 km trip is the most beautiful to walk, and in this heat long enough.
Start the visit early in the morning, around 7 a.m. if possible, to avoid the day's crowds and heat.
Visited the NP in mid-June. Not too busy to experience this amazing nature. We followed route C. Definitely doable in 5 hours.

That they should not order a card from you in the month of May and June. There are no queues at all. On site much cheaper.
Insanely beautiful area. Well organized and well-proven. Nice also bit with boat. Walking a lot of stairs. Have taken the H route from entrance 2 where you last have the big west fall.
To have lunch, there is a long wait at the kiosks and the shaded eating area is limited, so I recommend bringing at least water if not the entire lunch from home.
The park is a marvel, but it should have shuttle buses to nearby places where the hotels are located. If you are not staying inside, you have no way to go to or come from the park.
We arrived at 7am. East parking at that time at Entrance 1. We followed trail C. We were fortunate to have perfect weather after heavy rain the previous two days. So the waterfalls were amazing. The paths had all dried out, and we were early enough to miss most of the crowds. We took dozens of stunning photos. We thoroughly recommend Plitvice Lakes National Park.
